One night at The Farmhouse. Heading to The Tent.

- I spent the afternoon at the Farmhouse and the night with Melissa before heading up to The Tent early the next morning. I brought a few things up with me and we checked the "skunk camera" to see if moving the food has stopped their nightly visits.

Nice can't wait for the new Tent video! We have about 7 days until bow season starts & our season doesn't end until Feb 10th. I have a little camp on the river in Gee's Bend Alabama, that we use year around, and I'm steady cleaning up like you lol. But i don't eat as many potatoes & pork steaks though 🤣🤣🤣 I do make a Cajun 15 bean soup pretty regular though 😀

I sure wish I had your energy Joe!! I just had my left foot amputated and a few months to get a prosthetic and learn how to walk again but your videos have been and will continue to be motivating to me!!! Looking forward to your hunting season and tent videos. They help get me into the woods. Soon I will be up and moving again but till then get that damn grill filled brother!!!!!! Lol. You and your family are awesome!!

Congratulations on solving the skunk issue! And on all the recycling you do too! Awesome.
No No on the cedar shavings. Chickens do not tolerate the cedar well. Chokes them up. I found this out the hard way, it can actually kill them in a tight room.

Always enjoy your videos and appreciate your natural conversation as if we are right there. Your camera work is great. I have no idea how much editing you do, but probably a lot. That wood stove in your garage will be nice. Before you know it, the snow will fly and you will need wood too. So much to do, so little time. My husband has a beautiful old wood stove with nickel plating in his garage he has never set up.
I bet it is nice to have a half way stop to the tent! Next time you head to Duluth on a sunny day get a shot of the big pond coming down the hill! I like how you started the tractor just for the hell of it.
Too bad no room in garage for the tractor plus a canvas cab would be nice for warmth for those super cold winters. When that tractor was built cabs weren’t an option. Seems like yesterday when you were plowing snow.

I love that little Rock Creek joint. My wife often will pick up a quart of the chicken and dumpling soup whenever she gets a chicken soup craving.

Living in the South it would have never occurred to me to put those poles up for snow. Always interesting just to learn the little things.

I put about 40,000 miles a year on my truck (64373.76 Km) I do drive a lot though.

That skunk looked like it could afford to skip a meal, that was one chunky skunk.
No way I’d give any critter including cats open door access. Many other critters would love cat food too. Too many critters look for other openings beside the cat doors.
Waste nothing...I was taught at a young age. Hope you had a safe trip to the tent...take care and be safe.
Good job on the skunks. If it persists, perhaps you could relocate the cat door to a higher position.

Where did you find the marker sticks that you put along the end of the driveway, I have been looking for some like that so I can Mark my driveway also for the winter so they don't tear up my yard when they blow snow.
I bought mine this time at L&M fleet supply. You can get them at menards or walmart etc.

Sweet looks like snow up at the cabin this weekend, are you going to be their?!? Im sure im not alone when i say we enjoy the videos from the tent when snow is falling. Its so tranquil. Cmon think of the views for that video, first snow of thr 2019-2020 season.
My family and I have noticed that every time we click on your channel or a channel like yours; within a couple of seconds after we click on it, we get a message saying CZcams is not available at this time. We exit and start over and usually it works, some times it takes a few times, but it doesn't do that when we are watching stuff like football shows. I was just curious if it is just us or other people are having the same issue. David is hungry for steak, eggs and fried potatoes now.
I am not sure, I have heard a couple times where people had trouble. When I then load the video it always works. Steak and eggs is always very good. Lol.

Just heard you say you have some "aromatic cedar shavings" you plan on using in the chicken coop/nest boxes.....PLEASE DO NOT! Cedar is toxic to chickens. I've raised chickens for many years and cedar shavings are a no-no to chickens respiratory systems. Pine shavings yes, cedar no. Just a heads up in case you weren't aware.

Why not spray your weeds with Round Up? It's a lot easier and would save on labor. Would make your place look better.
I have done that in previous videos. I do not want the weeds dead around the old fence lines. That is not the look I want and does not look like an old farmstead when you do that.
@@NorthernSeclusion Actually I was referring to the weeds around your trees near the house and the house itself. We live on a farm and have many trees and sheds and that is what I do. You do have a nice place.

my cousin was so allergic to skunk scent; but he kept harvesting skunk. He was a hungry for skin money kid.
