Nano needling is not allowed in Ca. No needles whatsoever however nano with the silicone tips are allowed. I worked as an inspector so I do have first hand knowledge. There is a list on their website that says what is allowed and not by estheticians.

I got my cosmetology license in 2021, and my goal was to be a hairstylist. I assisted for a bit and then tried renting my own booth and long story short it was not a good time for me mentally and the stress of starting a new career and pressure of pleasing clients was too much for me.
I’ve been working in a completely different job since then but I recently felt inspired to look into learning how to do lash lifts, and just practice on friends and see how I like it and go from there. Esthetics has always interested me as well but coming out of beauty school when my focus was on hair, I don’t know anything about facials or esthetic services, don’t really know where to go for training. Just putting this out there in the void if anyone has any advice ❤

I also checked with the board a while ago 😅 Any handling of the actual hair must be done by a licensed cosmetologist like hair washing, hair treatment, drying, styling. DRY scalp treatments however are allowed by estheticians like dry scalp massages, scalp serums, oxygen spraying, etc. At least thats what Ive been told. Would love to know if this detail has changed!

Also what I don’t understand is why can’t microneedling fall under body art? Tattoo needles actually go deeper in the skin than microneedles, so it should be allowed to be offered as a PMU service.
Hi, i am really confused about the sinks requirement in facial/ waxing room.I called the board and they said its a requirement but i am not able to install it.
In Indiana u dont have to be an Esthetician to do lashes. Instead, you have to take a 45 hour class but thats it.
Imagine your esti doing a dermaplane after having some bubbly 😂🙅🏻♀️
Happy wonderful New Year of 2024.🐉🔥🐉🧧🎎😉👌🏼 it is so good to see you back can you do a video that addresses the pros and cons of being an esthetician since the pandemic as in some states it keeps flaring up😢. And many times individuals their skin may be suffering in the process especially with dry and maturing skin. What are some classes that you would recommend once a person is done with school in your opinion that is essential that they need to take up to be more financially stable? In some states they may have PSI as a testing server at the current time in some states and now in many states like Michigan like Tennessee like Texas and there is a few others that will be offering virtual testing. So that means that you can now take the test in your home at your school or just at the regular testing site personally. I would look forward in taking the test in the home. I've never really liked testing sites in general, if it's at the school I feel that would be awesome as well 👌🏼🖤💛❤️🐉🔥🐉❤️💛🖤🧧🎎😉👌🏼
