    I think this format of having the jamming session in a different video is very clever :3 I still get the comically delivered information, and a song I can listen to any time.

    This is my ideal gear! I can use this to do a high-quality recording of my music making wherever I am without being bothered by operating PC. I can focus on just being a musician there. That is most important. But the modern PC recording system doesn't allow me that. Plus I love field recording in nature, so this is the dream gear I have been looking for. I really thank you! SD!

    Beeing a professional location sound recordist, I´d use that MixPre-3M to record nice, low noise location sound when there is not much space (e.g. when traveling). Also beeing a musician in my free time I´d use it to record our jamsessions.

    I do some volunteer work with groups, both studio and on location. Most are traditional band set ups, and one is an amateur orchestra, this would be great to get some tracks down for them on the go, it's a little above what would be good for me to spend at the moment but this is going to be added to the list :D. Great video as always.

    Jeremy, with each new video I realize more that not only are you a freakin music whiz, but that you are kiiiiiiinda also a comedy genius as well :D I watched the intro three times laughing to tears. Love your videos and love devices like this! While life without a DAW isn't something i want to imagine, sometimes you really need something in your arsenal where you can leave the laptop closed and just create with the tools you have in front of you to just experiment with and capture crazy ideas that you can then take and turn into a more polished piece or pieces later and this looks perfect for such situation especial with all the tiny synths going around you can really have enough devices in a back pack to warrant this many channels!

    • @paulisaacs5980
      @paulisaacs5980 Před 6 lety

      Think of it like this - its a super high quality 8ch mic pre, multichannel mixer, multitrack recorder, usb interface, and effects box in a battery-powered die cast aluminum box with touchscreen protected by gorilla glass that you can throw in a bag and take anywhere. The MixPre 3M and 6M are cheaper and have all the same functionality just fewer inputs.

    HOLY SHIT FINALLY. My (chunky) acoustic instruments (drums, upright, etc) are on the opposite side of my house, and it's a pain to record them, so with the MixPre-3M I'd need to record those. Also, Colorado is insane when it comes to nature, so field recordings and small noises would be a m u s t. Also, recording Jam Sessions, as said by several others, would be insanely helpful.
