This is the Final Boss Fight against Demon King Ganondorf with all the Sage companions and the True Ending or Secret Ending after the credits in English. I'm wearing the Ancient Hero's Aspect armor. The item description reads:
"This item is said to contain the spirit of a hero who once saved Hyrule. That hero's aura will envelop the wearer." This makes Link look like the hero from the Breath of the Wild tapestry. It wasn't actually Ganondorf, after all. (most likely)

@@jivitier I was just going to say, Mystic armor is useless against gannondorf, its a lot better to bring the highest AC you can get (I did it with the armor of the depths which goes up to 28 armor per piece)

Yeah he went full blown gigachad during that phase. Even though I was in fully upgraded barbarian armor, banana damage meal and a silver lynel saber horn Scimitar of the Seven, that fight was still stressing me out.

I love that Purah is just there in the final cutscene. She has no actual relevance to the cutscene, but she’s just so iconic now that you can’t NOT have her in the ending.
I'm convinced she was supposed to become a new sage, but they either cut it or decided to save it for the DLC.

Yeah they couldn't have possibly made him a bigger asshole then they did in this game, literally pulls up with the same exact agenda of never having enough to be satisfied despite his tribe having things better than they ever had them before...
That said after ALL of these callbacks and the literal destruction of both his body & soul (Partly because he's the same sore loser he's always been) yeah... He's probably finally actually gone for good this time...
Which admittedly is a little sad, but they gave him the mother of all sendoff's to end his time in the series...

He even go's further & spent a good chunk of the game in his mummified state in the location where Demise was born trying to absorb even more power then finally becoming a Dragon with Steven horns like the literal devil itself coming out of hell and back into existence...
How do you top THAT?
We may yet see more of him and he's always been so much a part of the story there's really no way to talk about it without him in some context, but as THE villain of the series I don't ever see him toping this...
Honestly as nightmare ganger gaming was saying it would have been a lot more interesting if Ganondorf was fighting the Evil within himself not embracing it like his birthright like he always has...
We've seen wiser versions of him so we know it's not impossible but regardless this Ganondorf made Demise VERY PROUD indeed...

In that final final cutscene, I was expecting Purah to take Mineru's place as the Sage of Spirit. Mineru's mask thing that's the head of her robot is a very similar shape to Purah's goggles so I thought she was gonna take both it and the secret stone.

The way ganond health just keeps rising whn turns into demon was so intimidating for me lol
Fun fact: you can hit the red malice ranged attacks back with the Master sword. Like when he uses a bow abd you're surrounded by the red Gloom. Do a spin attack and they'll all be sent back at him, same with the Mace and the spear.
And I know that just now? Since when is the Master sword a tennis racket???
Since Ocarina of Time. I haven't beaten the full game but for the forest temple as Adult Link, once Ganondorf's puppet gets off the horse, the fight becomes a tennis match.

I know it'll never happen, but playing this fight makes me just really wish Nintendo would give a more Dark Souls fueld boss fight with Ganondorf. Doesn't have to be the same grinder to the balls level of hard that the Souls franchise has, just a more active boss fight with a bit more aggression to spice things up and make Ganondorf play like the threat he's portrayed as.
i thought he was going to be tough but.. really... fighting a king gleeok was tougher than ganondorf. like Pikamish said, it is more endurance based than reflex.
Well, this was certainly a step in the right direction. Some may disagree, but this is easily the best last boss fight, maybe excluding the Dragon form part, it looked flashy, but was extremely easy. Other last boss fights were... disappointingly easy to say the very least. The lack of aggression and tension really always gave the fight way more of an anti-climactic feeling. No amount of flashiness and cinematics can replace gameplay feel, it's a GAME, after all...

It can be the most hype cinematic ever with the hypest music but if the gameplay is that boring and easy it doesn't feel the same, it's like wasted potential for me personally.
Love moments like at 27:49 when you get a mission complete popup after the final battle. Takes me back to MW3 after killing Makarov when the "objective complete" text appears while Price is sat down smoking. Just sends a cool chill down my spine

To be fair, in Age of Calamity we see that Link is capable of bashing away falling debris bigger than himself and holding his own against powered up versions of all 4 blights. He probably cushioned the blow for Zelda by tanking it all.

this is highly depending on the surface that hits the water, yes it will most likely cause a few fractures, but let's say that you enter the water from a straight position, it'll cause way less damage than doing it horizontally like the pig they used in the recreation

DragonDork there looks like his mind is utterly gone. His eyes stare in opposite directions. How he or Dragon!Zelda had enough presence of mind to do this final battle is beyond me, when becoming a dragon is supposed to TAKE your mind to begin with.
I've heard the theory tossed around that, while essentially mindless/animalistic, the desire someone strongest feels as they ingest the stone kind of informs their baseline behavior as a dragon. It explains why the Light Dragon went so high into the sky for as long as she did with the sword in tow, and actively attempts to protect Link, and why the Demon dragon just singularly wants to fuck shit up. Of course, this is a whopping sample size of 2 unless we get some confirmation or info about the other 3 dragons being draconified rather than just....normal dragons, so, y'know, grain of salt.

I don’t think they need a conscious to realize that they are inherently enemies. Plus their interactions before becoming a dragon, Zelda’s time in the past would be enough to form baseline/primal instincts that would instruct her to fight alongside link for the forces of good.
I think it’s more like before draconification the last thought or strongest wish you have before turning into a dragon becomes like…a shred of sentience that remains

Well here’s the thing my friend, we don’t know for sure if the ancient hero has anything to do with Link, we know for a fact three beings are always reincarnated (Link, Zelda and Ganondorf) thanks to their god “ancestors” (MAYBE Fierce Deity, Hylia and Demise) but what if the ancient hero is a completely and unrelated character towards Link, maybe in a time of crisis a young Zonai became powerful enough to stop the Calamity

Ganondorf, regardless of the incarnation, has always been an arrogant glutton for power and destruction, even at the expense of his humanity (e.g., Ganon in OoT, TP, Four Swords, etc). Although draconification would turn him into a mindless beast, it didn't matter to him because of just how much more powerful he'd become.
Also, he kinda was inches away from death. Right after you beat him, he convulses and bends over backwards as if he was being sealed again.
I think at that point, he just gave up on ruling Hyrule and just wants to kill Link. He said himself; He would sacrifice everything just to destroy Link. Ganondorf is such a sore loser.
I actually stumbled into the final boss fight early on in the game on accident. I was just doing some exploring with rockets and when I jumped into a random pit it was suddenly like "you're fighting Ganondorf now".
I have a theory about the Ancient Hero's look, I think maybe this is what happens when you resist dragonifaction, hence why he looks different than any Zonai, it would explain the tail and why the eyes look as blue as the dragon's eyes, I've always wondered if there's a way to resist dragonification, hence why I have this theory.

I have a personal headcanon, but similar to Ganondorf and Zelda dragon forms. the cost of link using the ancient armor is that he won't be able to return to his normal body. so at the end the game he like Zelda get restore to their previous forms.
In a similar vein, I remember distinctly wishing that Zelda kept the dragon horns after she was restored. It would be a very cute touch, and I may have drawn it way too many times.

My head canon is that Link’s Ancient Hero Aspect rivals against Ganondorf’s Demon form while Zelda’s Light Dragon face against Ganondorf’s Demon Dragon form.
This looks fun, but imagine if they were able to pull off KH 2’s thousand heartless battle look for the demon army. THAT would’ve felt badass but who knows if they had the software set up for something like that.

It's the Ancient heroes aspect. It's the reward for completing all 152 shrines and it's just one piece. 👍
Like the other comment said, it's the Ancient Hero's Aspect. It's a 3-in-1 armor item which acts as the helm, tunic, and leggings that you get when you complete all shrines. Level 2 enhanced onwards gives you enhanced Master Sword Beams while Level 4 gives you 84 defense, which is a TON of defense.

I liked this boss battle. It reminded me of Wind waker and twilight princess where Zelda helps in the final battle.
I wanted the final fight to be Ganondorf on a lynel fighting Link on Epona. But this is a fine alternative.
Remember the scene where he's riding a gloom horse. That would make sense. The army should have been much bigger. With lynels, hinoxes, taluses, gleeoks, froxes, like likes, chu chues, stal enemies, and phantom ganon

Would be awesome if it wasn't those bokolins but many Phantom Ganons. And the final boss fight has multiple Phantom Ganons you will fight concurrently while being very aggressive.
If you use dragon parts on your arrows you will do far more damage than bombs
I'd rather save them to upgrade my armor.

How did you get the last 2 Hearts? Is it a side quest? I've done all the shrines, and the call from the dephs
All of those depth statues found gives you a side quest for one, and the fifth safe

Sooo, anyone knows what happens at 5:30 when you've only freed some of the sages but not all of them ? I'm really curious about that
I’m not 100% sure on this so anyone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t know what i was doing and just went down there for fun during my play through (the ensuing chaos was frightening) but I didn’t go get minerus spirit and it had me fight the construct before the scene plays where link gets walled off and goes to face ganon. I think if u didn’t go get the sages the game makes u fight the bosses that u would have at those respective temples. I decided to reload cuz I was afraid of missing story related stuff so I don’t know if anything else happens.

To be honest I feel like the Anicent Zonai hero should be the first hero after skyward sword link and be it own character in a dlc story. Then just a costume because Zonai worship Power, wisdom and Courage.
Hold on, how do you have capped hearts? For me, it is impossible to have maxed hearts without exchanging 2 of my stamina bar?
You can repel those dark orbs of gloom back a Ganondorf with the master sword.
