18:00 I'd argue even without doing content, I'm typically hopping on to play one PVP game when I have a bit of free time. It being a forced mode for the best 2 of 3 Proud Battles has basically killed my own motivation to play since it feels much more like an investment now

Same, but also the thing is, to me, I feel like this gamemode is for people who don't get shafted, people like me who don't even have the new LF Zenkais and 0 meta units... It's even harder when you think about the teams you gotta face every match from people who actually have the units and stars to make proper teams for this gamemode, which is basically 6 of the top 10 meta units in one team
What are we supposed to do? Force a 3rd round just to play with what we have? I don't feel like that's something we should even need to do just to play some matches and have a chance to win
This being a forced gamemode, I really don't like it, it really just killed my motivation too, I can try to play with some teams, hell, I've been able to win some matches, but it's HARD to do so, even harder than normal ranked matches
@@unaweonaomas8023 I'd argue that that's the point, to stratagize your battles and have fun while not facing the same 3 units everytime
@@otony5219 I totally get that, and I think it's fun, but what do I do when every "good" unit I have is from like, 6-12 months ago and is at 3-4 stars when I'm against... I don't know, 2024 uni reps/Saiyans at, at least 6-8 stars, with no benchs whatsoever, the mode itself, I like it, what I don't like, is that I'm basically forced to play it to get the ranked cc at the end of the season, in normal ranked, benchs were my saviors, it was the only way I had a chance to beat teams like that, it was hard and sometimes I just lost 3 timer counts in, but still, here, my damage is greatly reduced and also are my teams, which I don't have enough equipments to use them either, it really just, killed my motivation entirely, I can barely win some matches against people that, are basically just in the same spot as me
@unaweonaomas8023 I understand that as well. However to use an argument from another comment on a separate video, if we had just made both modes separate from the beginning, sure people would play it day 1, but then like 80% of players would go back to normal rating matches, and then they wouldn't have as much data to work with and improve the mode, so it kinda makes sense to make it a replacement for pvp, that way they have a great amount of data and they can make great changes to the mode in a shorter time
YEL Zenkai Cell having two cover rescues is so busted. I love using the 2nd one on a RR and they usally forfit.
He has 3 I believe, he gets it back with his main as well.

Yellow cells zenkai is super underrated cover save is op (someone has dodged my rush with it before) and his ult is one of the hardest hitting ults in the game to any non red units and his ult can faint as well
Yo guys i been getting into this game and looks like the pvp or multplayer generally only works when i use the phone data (cellular data) and thats kind of a problem as wifi is my main here , so as i be using wifi(router) i dont get matched in the matchmaking its like as am one load away from entering it just reloads again and if am matched its a bot does anyone have any idea how i could solve this
I agree with you Rai. I want the OPTION to rematch the person I fight, not being forced into it. Most of my teams are just 3 characters, and 3 Zenkai Bench who don't have equipment.
Adapt bro its kinda sad seeing so many players not being able to adapt... were all in the same boat.

revival units with good damage and tanking, all you need is barku, pikkon, and a good revival, and thats 6 lives basically, its perfect
The problem with if the winner can decide the rematch, it would ruin the point of the mode. You could build the team exactly as normal, use the same 3 buffed up units, and then just always decline the rematch (they would have to discourage against that, like halving rp from winning a single match and doubling rp for winning two matches, but even then, some would prob still just go for the easier wins). I think they should just make this mode like LBR, only held at certain times, and separate from normal pvp / optional.

The only reason I wouldn’t like both parties having to decide because so far, i have lost a majority of the first matches due to my opponent timing me out, and the opponent dipping after that would suckkkk. I fear that would become the meta, farming rising rush to take advantage of the short timer count, and just leaving afterwards
I hope yellow cells ult get re newed it still puts in work but an innately stronger version would be nice

Biggest issue with the mode is that the devs will need to make sure every team is balanced and within relative power lvl to work which has Nvr been a thing.

I disagree with the winner choosing to rematch for exactly what Rai is doing: you could easily just bring your best three units and three bench units, then just quit after your first match every time, and this is much more overpowered against someone who is playing for the full experience
Both players agreeing on a rematch is how all fighting games do things. Think about the flipside, what if you're the winner and your opponent was horrendously laggy. Should the winner be subjected to another fight against that?

But I think the difference here is rating match proud/battle of pride is tailored for battling with all 6 units, so when we refer to rematching other fighting games, usually if you change your team, you’re not forced to completely change your units. I think for the normal rating match system, yes, both parties should decide if they want to rematch, and the same should go with this mode only after the 2nd match which is what the devs do.
@@ByeOrDie I guess that’s true, I just feel the loser deciding has caused a lot of negative feelings towards the mode. I enjoy it a lot but because this is a phone game there are a lot more elements at play. Not everyone will main a team with six viable units, not everyone will have six fully flushed units at high stars to perform and not everyone will have a proper connection. It’s why I figured being able to move on from the first fight is the one way to remedy all this.
I think the mode is fine as if the winner decide they would just leave and use inly 3 ch and other zenkai bench
i get what u mean by the winner getting to decide if he wants to go for the second round or not but that would make the whole thing they made about having 2 teams(and therefore kind avoiding those overjuiced zenkais) meaningless, cause ppl would just use the same teams they have been using, making the mode meaningless(but we all know they dont care about the full zenkai bench teams, they just made this so u pull more to have 2 usable teams)

I think the mode is awful. It is really not a healthy game mode and here's my explanation if you're willing to understand my reasoning:
It what this mode is is basically, the top 4 units define the top team. And I get that that's true for the 'old' system as well - but the let's say top 3 to top 5 are soo incredibly much better than even the top 15 characters who are still considered to be 'good' but that's where the issue starts.
As LoE main i got nerfed to the ground by this update. Having 3 'good' characters is one problem. That's okay that's how the game works to make money with new releases. But now we need 6 characters who are all playable per tag - that's not going to happen and therefore this mode is not good long term. Metas will be even more painful to deal with.
That's my issue number one, issue number two is, it just takes too much time. 3 mates per victory, each lasting about 4 minutes, therefore we have 10-15 minutes spent per enemy. That's almost an hour just for the daily 3 matches. It bad, bring it as a battle royal replacer when BR isn't active but not as a permanent ranked mode. Thanks Toshi for already confirming that it won't replace ranked anymore as they have teased when they announced the update first

It's good that the loser gets to choose IMO. If you lost because it was a laggy unplayable game or your team stood no chance against his there's no reason to continue and leaving is valid. It also prevents winners from running away with 1 win every time which is kinda disgusting and ruins one of the main appeal of the mode. But I understand that it's long so maybe you should be able to play casual proud (🤔) where you can play with these rules but without competing for anything, leave whenever and just have fun with different teams and people your level.

one thing about raiyuden’s take on “the winner should also be able to decide if they want a round 2 or not,” it kinda takes away from the whole point of the game mode. The opponent could literally just run 3 main 3 bench as usual, and they don’t need to strategise at all. just run three op characters and get your free RP. the whole point is to strategise what team you’re going to run, because you KNOW you’re not using them in the second. obviously there’s flaws in this argument but y’all get my point right? 😅 I at least understand that it makes sense to not wanting to drag the game out to a second, and potentially third, round, but dbl isn’t like most fighting games. or ANY, from what i’ve seen
Yeah no this could all have been solved if dbl just had a rematch feature instead of a gamemode(pride). It's not supposed to cater to you like that. If you want a rematch you should be able to get one and if you don't you shouldn't be forced into a 2nd match. Period
