Roxy's just a shepherd doing what a shepherd does. ❤
German shepherds are actually part of the herding dog group. I have owned German shepherds all my life and if they don’t have animals to herd they will herd people. Mine try to herd my grandkids. 😂❤️🥰
Roxy seems to be getting the idea. She will never be able to make the quick turns Kinsey does but she probably won't ever need to in the smaller spaces. Great to see another video from you both. The highlight for me was the baby kicking her bare feet and smiling as the combine drove by.
Oh. You’re whole family is theirs in the GSD Mind.. Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️
Your baby girl is absolutely beautiful. Im the grandma of 14 boys and 1 girl, also Great Grandma of 3 boys and 4 girls. My newest great granddaughter is 11weeks old and perfect just like Indie.😊 Roxy will be an awesome herd dog with just a bit more training 😊
Yes, German Shepherd’s are herding dogs! There are many that have herding titles in AKC
It's really nice to see you all on here again, though I wish it happened a little more often. 😊
I see you've made some wonderful purchases and hope all is working out with those wonderfully.
I agree...I think Roxy has some potential in herding, she's so eager to be a part of it all.
Also, you're little one is getting so big. She looked like she was in her element at the sale barn, I can only imagine what it was like behind the scenes. 😅🤣
What a lucky baby to have you two as parents & growing up on a farm 🚜 🐑🐂
Hi guys! It’s so nice to see you guys again and just so you know you’ve been missed! Roxy seems to understand what she’s supposed to do but she just needs practice and some more training. She’ll get it just be patient with her. On ‘this farm wife” I know I’ve heard them mention sudan grass but I don’t remember what they do with theirs. Maybe check them out. Last but not least, the girls have really grown and they are so cute! Indie and those cute little toes are adorable!! 💜
??? Maybe cutting it again after down to dry for a bit so it's not so stringy?? Just a thought/guess.
Roxy is so pretty! Good girl she's going to be on it soon!
Loved the video. Such a good job showing a it of everything. Gotta admit I missed table talk time. 😖
Thanks for a great demo of your harvest. The girls are adorable! Growing up too quickly! Enjoy every second! Happy Belinda got some new cows! She’s a keeper, Jer! 😉
Loved the video. Indie is such a happy baby. Roxy is doing well. She listens to what she is told. Love the song at the end, Jer
Mallory, I can just picture you singing The Clean up Song! "Clean up, clean up everybody everywhere. Clean up Clean up EVERYBODY do your share!" Look at Indie clapping for you. She will be your sister and cheerleader. Beautiful family, smiling through the hard work and doing whatever it takes to get through to the next day of Neverending farm chores. I would not be planting the Sorghum Sudangrass again. Y'all have the patience of a Saint between dogs, kids, and breakdowns! What's that song say? "God bless women and children and watermelon wine?" 😆 Bring out the moonshine and hoodies and bonfires.
So excited to see this video! I’ve missed you guys!!! Love from cold Oklahoma!! 🥶🥶🥶
It's so so nice to see u back on, thank u
You guys live in a beautiful part of the world
The October colours are just stunning.
Belinda I did stop your sheepishly me hoody!
Love you guys
I am late to the party here, but you won't ever be disappointed in a well raised GSD. It's just a good all-around dog. Besides, when this was filmed, it's obvious that she's a pup.
I just have to say that I love your channel! I enjoy having coffee with the two of you, and it warms my heart to see you as a family enjoying farming.
This right here is why we do this - to be able to connect with people like yourself brings us so much satisfaction
A great video Belinda. Before I started watching you, Sandi and Meredith (This farm wife), I knew zero about grain farming. I find the whole process absorbing and I've learnt so much from the three of you. Thank you all. Stay safe and take care. 🌾🐑🐮🦌🍁🌹🌹
love your clips and the music is great. Keep including your signing in your episodes. Belinda, you go girl. Keep showing us how it's done!
Great to see ya’ll! Love the video. I too have a GS who looks and acts a lot like Roxy. I have read that GS were originally herders…which you can see in Roxy’s behavior. She is awesome and obvious loves you both so she will perform for you but I actually think that she loves the sheep!
Oh my heart ❤️ Those farm girls!! The BEST way to grow up!
Precious little ones OMGoodness they are beautiful
Roxy is doing GREAT!!! It's in her nature. Keep working her. She will be the best paid in kibble worker you can have.
Roxy is a wonderful smart dog.
A German shepherd posing as a border collie. Donkeys posing as sheep!
A funny farm😂
Lots of praise when she gets it right will help her know what she is doing correctly. Another part of herding is the “Down” command or “easy” when she gets ahead of the sheep
She is a Rockstar doing amazing. Who says you have to be a Border Collie or a Blue Heeler. You got it girl!!! Loved this all I appreciate farmers hard work. You are living life the way it should be and I wish I could too. hugs xo
Roxy for president!!! Lol my German shepherd pup wanted in with my neighbor's sheep so bad yesterday so this is hilarious
German SHEPARD dog ? Hello ?? 🙄 She’s getting it and enjoying it ! Love watching you guys and seeing your beautiful babies grow !❤️❤️❤️
The best, happy videos. Dog, feed and kids it will all work out!
Such a happy video, gorgous scenery, beautiful little girls, a barefoot baby, superb herd additions, a hard working dog, independent ewes and topped off with Jeremy's music. Perfection! Thank you for sharing.
Good afternoon, guys! Your daughter is so big now..wow.
Good girl, Roxy!
Here in michigan we like to green chop Sudan grass or chop and feed it direct or bag it for silage
We need to start coming on here with a short when we’re trying something new for some first hand advice. There is minimal information out there on sorghum Sudan so we were king of flying by the seat of our pants
Others around here have done the same trying to bale it. They had issues to that’s why I went with the chopping instead.it was a lot easier to bag it.
We adopted an abused German shepherd 8 months ago can I say she has been such an amazing blessing in our life, we have 4 children a 4 yr old non verbal with autism boy & 5 yr old boy who is on the spectrum but verbal... Alana has always stuck to them like glue since day one it's like she knows something, now our other two older kids she plays with them & has a blast.. but her eyes never leave our 4 & 5 yr olds unless we are near them she has this inside kind of knowledge in the diffrence between the kids, She will block doors off, steps off and stop them if they dart off she isn't trained at all but she is always on alert if those 2 boys say go near the door, she will let us all know but not the older 2 kids, I can see your pup Roxy doing the same she can read you, she watches you closely you have a littlest hobo among you as think of Alana, I think you have a smart lady she will be a great leader & protector no doubt.... Keep up the great work guys many blessings From Nova Scotia Fr my fam to yours! 🇨🇦🥰
So many people are unsure of them but once you’ve owned one it’s hard to ever have anything else. I grew up with Shepherds, she’s still a pup and a bit of an ox but she just adores these girls.
@@rebelstone5200 People said no also don't bring a shepherd in the boys should wait for a service dog, well that takes years and $, I wouldn't change my decision yes she can get a lil to excited but she chose her role as protector she loves her boys you can't buy that!❣
Beautiful family , beautiful animals 💖👏🇨🇦
After watching your videos as well as other farm videos I have a new found respect for farms. The countless hours you all put in your farms are amazing. Thanks for sharing you life through these video content. 😊
G s d are very intelligent xxxx
Here in Germany the German Shephard is sometimes still used as herding dogs. Don't worry she will get it in time.
Roxy just goes with her gutes.😊
Yes Sir ❤ . It’s in the name. Not an LGD, but damn they are brilliant when trained ❤. Such versatile Canines . My Favorite Breed ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Beautiful, happy and much loved girls ❤ and animals for that matter. Enjoyed the video. Thanks so much.
GSDs are 'tenders' meaning they tend the sheep by continuously circling them to keep them in a specific grazing area whilst simultaneously keeping predators out. They also traditionally worked in packs to ensure the entire perimeter was adequately patrolled at all times. They arnt traditionally 'fetchers' like collies which gather up many loose sheep over vast terrain and corral them into a small pen. But they will keep a bunch of sheep together for you if you want while you drive them where you want to go.
Love seeing all the giant marshmallows in the field.
Always excited to see your videos!
You do such a great job putting these together!!
Roxy....will make it !!
Have been keeping an eye on year sheep at Sandy's farm!..
Thank you so much for sharing
Congratulations on your new purchases. Keep working Roxy. She can do it I can see the tendencies also. She'll be good at it. Roll that Beautiful Bean Footage lol. Your feed was very impressive. Happy Baby Love You Guy. Peace from WV
Beautiful!! Yep, you'll be all right! Love watching the learning & development of Indie & Roxy. Do sorghum farmers in the South have any ideas on harvesting w/o frustrations? Love seeing light streaming through autumn leaves 💕💕
She is beautiful...and comes from the herding group... It's genetic!!! Great video guys!!
The best kind of shopping trip! 😊
Great looking heifers.
Love the music in your videos!! From Montgomery al 🙏 ❤️
thank you
Roxy is learning
You picked out some really nice heifers. They have awesome confirmation
Nice to see y'all riding into fall. Jeremy wonder if you did sorghum just like corn silage, if it wouldn't be as much as pain in the butt? We never have grown it, but other half buys from a neighbor every now and then. Indie is such cutie same with Mallory. Have great week y'all.
Jer here - we wondered about that - but it was just so wet we were worried it wouldnt store properly - maybe if we left it to get more mature we could have done full silage
@@rebelstone5200 hi Jer I know the sorghum that we get is very dry and baled kinda like farmers bale corn stalks for cattle. The farmer we get it from combines the seed heads off. We use it for horse food and a little in sheep food. Horses love it, bet Bonnie and Clyde would too. Sheep are little pickier 😂😂😂. I'll ask the other half if he has ever grown it, but I don't think he ever has . We are just so happy to be done with harvest this year. Drought here stunted alot of our corn and beans. Plus helping a neighbor get his corn in, after he fell off the top of his combine. Shattered his shoulder. But at least it's done.
Thanks for sharing another great video, love seeing your beautiful family 😊
You have some beautiful cows & the replacements are very nice! You are the cutest couple and your girls are beautiful💖 Hey, those paddles would be great for rattlesnake avoidance training here in Northern California! The sound is good, just not as fast as a rattlesnake rattles. Roxy reminds me of Kensie, Sandi's dog that gives ear washes😉 I know your Roxy will get it. You just need to show her CZcams videos of Cammie's dog or other dogs herding sheep and cattle. It will click in her brain when she gets older❤️
The rattle paddles work for cattle too!
Lovely to see another video from Rebelstone! ❤ Roxy is an awesome doggo and doing great with figuring out the herding ins and outs. When she was licking at the ewe's faces it reminds me of Sandi's Kinsey, who gives intense ear cleanings to the sheep sometimes! 😆 The ending segment singing and scenery was wonderful - thanks for sharing the beauty of your talent, your family, and nature's wondrous fall color show. Stay safe and warm. 💞
"Just one" And the day she says just a few, you know it's time to get your own semi and cattle trailer I guess 😂
I think Roxy is going to make a great sheep dog it is in her name after all. I remember having red paddles for the pigs. My mom came out to the farm one day which was far and few between. The pigs were in the middle of well being pigs breeding like they do my mom said to my dad oh make them stop thinking this was going to have some effect on me. Well I had to tell my mom don’t worry mom they are making bacon and in 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days we will have little pork chops running around.
Great video missed the great fun 👍
German SHEPHERD's are absolutely herding dogs. They are in the herding group at dog shows.
I'd suggest harvesting the sorghum grass another way. Like maybe chopping it up and put it in big bags like Sandi does her silage. I don't know if you can bale it chopped. Or maybe try to run over it with a mower to make the strands shorter and then bale it?
I love watching Roxy learning how to herd. She looks like she’s starting to get the hang of it!
Jeremy, when I was watching you guys baling the sorghum, I also was wondering if you could cut it earlier so it wouldn’t be as tall. I know you mentioned it, but I missed the reason why you couldn’t cut it sooner.
I love your videos so much! Beautiful family❤️
Even since those videos she’s come leaps and bounds! She’s got some calming down to do as she’s still just a pup but I can’t wait to see how far she’s come another year from now.
Perfect way to "grow up " another litte farmer girl. Look at her happy little face working with Dad and Mom. Bless you all. Love the videos
Loved your video. Beautiful family!
Best part of video at 17:07 - baby toes so happy and content. Roxy is doing well! She looks back at you, like “Is this how, Mom & Dad?”
Edit one more thought…do you have a friend with a sheep dog you could borrow to show Roxy what to do? I think a good role model would get her going.
Jeremy, it was “just one”….one full trailer load. Golly, think you forgot to specify your “just one” 😂 ❤
Great to see your video, will bilinda be turning into the Canadian hoof GP now she has her new toy .you two are so funny together ,baby looked like she could of bid on a few things if you let her x
Thanks for another great video!
Way to go Roxy! She is a breed of dog that was meant for keeping busy and helping out. As well as protection! ❤ her, she for sure will pick it up if she hasn't already.
Thank you for the video. They are always worth the wait!
Absolutely love your videos wish they were more frequent ❤❤❤
your daughters are gorgeous, and Roxy will be a fine herder...she is young, and will learn, especially with patience, Roxy is a beautiful example of a Shepherd dog too. I have missed you guys xxx
My Uncles always put up sorghum as silage.
Those are some beautiful well-conditioned looking cows! Nice purchase!
Loved watching Indie take it all in at the auction. Such a beautiful little girl 😍. Those are some good looking cattle you bought 🐄. Mallory is such a good helper with her wheel barrel of manure 🙂. It's fun to get to see them grow and change. So happy you were able to find time to complete another video. It's a good one, as always.
Your girls are so sweet & beautiful. The smiles melt my heart.
👍👍❤️😁The girls are adorable. It was good seeing you all and what you have been up to.
Roxy gets “A” for effort and I am sure she will improve.
Actually German shepherds were bred to herd sheep. They are a working dog
Loved it! ❤❤❤❤
Great to see everything is going well!
Glad you guys are back. Love❤❤❤ your videos. 😊
Love seeing you all! Baby is adorable!!! K.
Hi Belinda and family! Great vlog
I was about to Google the grass when you started explaining. Thanks! I have never heard of it 🌱
Beautiful fall colors. Sweet girls. Your a boss
It’s nice seeing both of you again. Seems like it’s been quite a long time. I think Roxy is doing fine becoming a good sheep dog, look at Kinzy..😊
Nice to see everyone. Did you find who was missing their ear tag?
Thank You! Really enjoyed this video! Heard you comment about getting the weeds out of the pasture… you have the prettiest weed eaters (sheep) - but they are in the barn! Down here in Oklahoma we are privileged to let them be out most all the time! You and family are doing great job! Thanks again.
That will make handling the cattle so much easier, glade you had a good time
Bonnie & Clyde!! ♥
I really miss your videos
I wondered what could be made from the sorghum…. It makes Giant marshmallows! LOL😂❤
I’ve got a friend in Arkansas, her family has raised sorghum for years, they press it and cook the juice and bottle it. It’s like molasses.
I thought GSD were originally used to herd cattle? There’s a woman near where I live that trains herding dogs. She says just about any dog can do it. Not to be a know-it-all, but corn is a grass.
If you don't give up on Roxy, she will figure it out. G.S.D.s actually were used as herding dogs long before they became police and military workers. Just keep working with her and I think you will be very pleased! She is already figuring it out by watching you and just trying. Good job! Love the farm and your baby girl is just the cutest little thing!! Blessings!!
You are correct. Shepherds are part of the herding breed.
We see the potential!
Yes pre ww2 they were a common sheepdog but these days because of the amount of inbreeding they have ruined most of the breed as they have a slanted back and major hip problems. If you look at pictures late 1800s and early 1900s they have a lovely straight flat back not slanted down from their shoulders to tail
@@HootMaRoot some of the Chech lines that have been kept correct are level backed and no sloping, no hip dysplasia, arthritis, cancers and etc. not easy to find and are expensive but they make excellent working and guardian dogs. I had Chech / East German line GSD’s and they were great herders and protected my foals. Nothing got into my fields and stayed long without getting ran out.
@@robinwhitlatch4497 I seen something about the east Germany/chech working dogs they look exactly like gsd but they called them a different name
