But there's no battery replacement possible. I can't buy one based on that alone

Mark Nope My battery is still good. You can maybe send it to Garmin for battery service?

Any idea on the cycle life of the battery? I hate survival type items that don’t feature user replaceable batteries because you can’t prep for a situation where there’s no Garmin to reach out to for service.

Section 26 I have it now for 2 years and still can wear it exactly 2 weeks long without using GPS. The cycle of the battery is for me also a suprise

Ronaldo9Fenomeno 2 weeks is pretty good without using GPS. I wanted to know how many times the battery can be recharged before it begins to lose the ability to hold a charge (aka cycle life).

Ronaldo9Fenomeno update, I just called Garmin and they don’t have a specific number relative to cycle life but that did say that operator usage/climate are variables in how many years the battery will be able to take and hold a charge effectively but if you have any issues past the 1 year warranty you can send it in for repairs at a cost. Hope this helps anyone with the same question
