He's so humble. He's just happy that people got to see it, and enjoy it. When in reality, there was countless hours of blood sweat and tears we never saw, just so we could enjoy those 5 minutes.

Mr. Nicholas told me that, in 1943, at one of the early important screenings of the film Stormy Weather ―perhaps it was the L.A. premiere―the audience accorded The Nicholas Brothers' routine in the production such a long, standing ovation that the projectionist had to stop and rewind the movie and show the scene over again. When I first met Fayard Nicholas, he was walking with two canes. Later, I was present when he danced again for the first time after hip replacement surgery. I cry very easily. Needles to say . . .. --- from Shared Air

I never tire of showing that scene to young friends who are too young (or too wrapped up in the garbage that today passes for entertainment) to have ever seen the film "Stormy Weather". Without exception, their minds are blown by the amazing talent and dexterity of the Nicholas brothers. I still find it difficult to believe that anybody might be physically able to do what they did in that famous scene. May it never be forgotten.

Until I happened to look at the Nicholas brothers on u tub I never even heard of them! I have never in my life seen such amazing dancing. The entertainment industry kept them out of the spotlight, they knew they would upstage Fred Astaire. They were gorgeous also. I have looked at the videos everyday and more than once a day. Looking at them tap dance makes all the other dancers look like amateurs. I’m 66 I should have known them when I was coming up. So glad for u tube!

I have a few people that I speak to in real life but no one I can really share my thoughts with that will actually care what I have to say. I am looking for friends and maybe more.
People seem so despondent these days. They pay more attention to the online character of themselves they have created than talk to real people/people trying to chat to them online. I was wondering could we talk?
