- At least seven Palestinians were killed as the military launched what it said was a counter-terrorism operation in the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday morning.
In a brief statement, the Israel Defense Forces said it had begun to operate in Jenin and that troops had shot several gunmen.
The IDF said it would provide additional details soon.
