    We have to memorize which antibiotics are bacteriostatic versus bactericidal. So saying that macroglides kill bacteria is confusing

      @ErikaGarcia-xv9sd Před 2 lety +4

      how is it confusing? Bacteriostatic kill bacteria and bacteriostatic prevents growth.

      @@ErikaGarcia-xv9sd The video says that macrolides kill bacteria, implying that they bactericidal. They are however bacteriostatic, inhibiting growth.

      @@jasminedurden5091 the bacteria does eventually die tho due to being inhibited from growth or anything else. They don’t stay in the body alive forever. Bacteria static and bactericidal both cause bacterial death just in diff ways.

      @@ErikaGarcia-xv9sd i was told that it is bacteriostatic=supressing growth....when given in high doses it is bactericidal=immediate death

      So NCLEX is for nursing and USMLE is for doctor. I went to nursing school and passed the NCLEX im now in med school. The content taught here is more than you need to know for the NCLEX lol. U really just need to know thomycin is suffik and gi upset for the NCLEX. The content here is good enough for medschool. As this is what my professors covered in med school now.
