    Aaron: Hey guys, its Aaron.
    Christina: And I'm Christina.
Aaron: From Dance Times Square, here in New York City. Today, we're going to be talking about the cha-cha spot turns. So we're going to start this, again with our left foot, and we're going to move into our basic action. One, two, three, cha-cha one.
Now instead of a break forward on our left foot, Christina and I are going to take our left foot and step directly to our right. Forward, pivot, forward, turning the face to front again, cha-cha one. Now repeating that same action with our right foot. Forward, pivot, forward, side, together, side, two, three, side, together, side, two, three, side, together, side.
And that's how you do the cha-cha spot turn. Now let's try that with a partner. And one, two, three, side, together, side, two, three, side together, side, two, three, side together, side, two, three, side together, side. One, two, three, cha-cha one, two, three, cha-cha one, two, three, cha-cha one, two, three, cha-cha one. Now let's try that with music.

Question: how do you lead this so your partner knows it is a spot turn and not a new yorker?

The correct technique should be that before you turn your body you turn your feet.. Try to change this please don't teach if you don't know correct technique

Aaron and Kristina are good but the video editing is awful. There are too many cuts: from their whole body, to their feet, to their upper body, to their whole body again. We dance with our whole body so that's where the camera should remain. The close ups of feet and upper body disorient us, and they add nothing.

This is not cha cha cha, it's horrible ... If you want to see cha cha cha look for people like Nino Langella or Sergey Surkov.

I, 87 & can still cha chs I,m sorry your hand movements are not good, hands down wrists sloppy, no artistic impression
Man's right arm should be raised & left about hip level,, forefinger & thumb open like holding an egg, on the spot turn men right-hand goes low behind his back & left raised ladies in reverse, we did the new york first & then the spot turn,, I have been doing the cha-cha for 50 years.
