I grew up in Ludlow. This story always freakin me out as a kid. We had an old pet cemetery about 2 miles in the woods behind the farm house too. That I built up after finding and put all our Huskies in the ground myself. We also had moved to Ludlow in the first place because my Grandfather opened up his own pharmaceutical business in town. I knew this was just a book but the possibility that these stories were from real life and the fact I was actually living it made it hard to separate. I was terrified and thrilled to spend time in the cemetery as a child because of this book. Such a weird experience and hard to explain. It was like Stephen King wrote about my family but just added zombies.
I wish they would follow the book at least a little (they said the kids feared and dared to go in the woods. In the book they worshiped that place and kept extremely good care of the ground with all graves organized, dated, and grass cut, ect.) I dont know about this..
Llamalus I agree with you simply because this is just a Throw together movie. More than likely it will just destroy the movie. Just like when Rob zombie did his version of Halloween.
Excited for this! Everybody loves the original and I do too, but it always seemed to be it had the look and feel of a made for TV movie. Always thought it could have been done a little better. Hopefully this movie does justice to the book even more.
I just hope Stephen King has the nerve to use the Ramones Pet Sematary in this film again just to keep it to some original form it's bad enough they're not using the original Creed house
4833 4833 yep he was awesome in the book! It was in the original pet semetary for about a couple of seconds you can hear it walk and it knocks a tree down
can it please just be scary? please don’t be cheap, please actually shock us and terrify us and if you don’t intend to break new grounds...just leave it
why even remake these things when there's no new twists? same story in HD. It's stupid. and just to differentiate from the old one, they said "the ground is bad" instead of "the ground is sour"
@@irobot2258 I guess you're right, I'm gonna wait on reviews and whether or not i ABSOLUTELY want to watch it, but as far as i can see from this first trailer it'll just be like any other horror movie that has come out over the past couple years.
This movie, should of been left alone not make a remake. This trailer is dumb doesn’t show nothing just people yelling and loud noise and apocalypto music.
You know that's not a good take. I hate trailers for the main reason on how they give away everything, so much so that you don't even need to see the movie

SalemKid savage. I personally hate remakes and the original is a beloved film of mine but this has potential. Actors seem to have been chosen because of fitting the characters rather than big names to sell seats.
yeah, i'll no doubt give it a watch, for me the original was pretty close to the source material - however they glossed over some things like Timmy Batterman and also the Wendigo etc, but overall I still find it a disturbing film most notably for the death of a child.

The little boy who plays Gage in this remake looks exactly like the boy who played Gage in the original...scary
Fred Gwynne cannot be replaced
Sure he can and he has. The story isn't about Fred Gwynn.
I don't think you can replace the real kid who played Cage! He is what made the movie scary.
logon paul needs to watch this movie.
People will now continue to spell Cemetery wrong again ...
Oz the Gweat and Tewwible . . .
Da Koynul You’re point taken
@Da Koynul Their never seems to be an explanation for why there never taught any better in they're school systems
Semetary has a different meaning.
The book actually explains that it was misspelled by the children that put up the sign. Reading is your friend.
Did anyone else jump when the semi-truck showed up?!
No
Only morons
0:19 That truck scared the shit out of me but that was about it lol 😂 😂
I cannot wait! It looks good!
For a moment there I thought I was watching Children of the Corn trailer and not once did I hear the cat's name Church in this trailer
hey i love that movie
They didn't say any of their names in this trailer. We all know who they are though.
A great king's classic.
I can't wait, seems like this movie will be more attached to the book
I can't wait..... Love Stephen King movies and John Lithgow !! love from Austin, Tx
Go Toadies!
And John Lithgow as Anthony Hopkins as Odin as Judd Crandell
Sometimes not making a remake is better.
This looks better than the original already...
The original was trash.
Then don't watch it loser.
floating turd
Memba when NOBODY went to go see the IT remake???
I was sorta hoping to hear the song by The Ramones...
They did away with that goofy song
Definitely seeing this
The casting looked perfect and I'm so hyped for this new rendition
ME TOO!!!
My favorite part of the original was when that kid got owned by that truck...lmao !!!
Lmaooo why did this make me laugh?!??
I wish they would follow the book at least a little (they said the kids feared and dared to go in the woods. In the book they worshiped that place and kept extremely good care of the ground with all graves organized, dated, and grass cut, ect.) I dont know about this..
I just watched the old pet semetary a 3 months ago and then found this 😱
I wonder if Zelda is going to be as horrifying here as she was in the original. Probably not.
You never know though. With modern technology, you can turn anything into the scariest thing you will ever see
no, with modern technology you can turn anything into a cgi cartoon joke. It does not belong in horror movies. Practical effects all the way.
Oh God, she still haunts my nightmares
1:23 At least there’s a Heartstone in the forest in case they wanna teleport back home.
No Zelda? She was the best part!!! "Raaachel.....Raaaaachel"
Hell yeah. Still creeps me out to this day.
It's a trailer
TheGuyWhoIsAustralian ...
I'm saying, why do they have to show everything, I hate trailers these days
She will be in the movie
Do maximum overdrive next!
Based on this trailer, I'm mostly looking forward to the exploits of the zombie cat, Church.
We all know what cats do, but what does a ZOMBIE cat do?
this needs a Harry and the Hendersons remix "there's something in those woods" and then big ol' Harry the Samsquanch with his dumb face jumps out
Looks legit, can't wait to check it out! Sometimes dead is better!
Same goes for fucking
Damn. The trinity killer from dexter is in this movie. COOL
Fun fact: Michael C Hall (Dexter) is the audio book narrator for Pet Sematary :).
That's what I always see him as now
Plus I almost half expect him to mention Progresso soup now too lol
Was the book like this?
That scared the shit out of me😂 0:18
The scariest thing in this movie is the semitruck passing by
The original with Fred Gwynne was the shit.
This actually has potential
Im a big fan of the original so I'll give this movie a chance.
I'm glad it's getting a second chance, but... this doesn't look too great
Llamalus I agree with you simply because this is just a Throw together movie. More than likely it will just destroy the movie. Just like when Rob zombie did his version of Halloween.
Fred Gwynne had the Maine accent down and so did Kathy Bates in Dolores Claiborne. Why the hell didn't Lithgow use it here??
This better be as good as the original
I say and not be a let down
It won't be
Good or bad, it features John Lithgow.
Haha he said it! "Sometimes deeyed is betta!"
Is this a remake
I would bring back my German Shepherd in a heart beat
Yeah, this doesn't look good so far. It would be a miracle if this turns out BETTER than the original, but I highly doubt it.
You saw the original right
Wish they would have used the original house
i wish they could gte Fred Gwyne back using CGI and just shoot every scene the way it was, same actor and everything, that would be a blast!
@@salemkid1979 maybe they could have dug Fred Gwynn up and buried him in the sour MicMac soil and then he could return for one last Ayuh!!!!
Stephen king universe
I don't know

You tarded?
Yeah this looks way better already. The original was maybe good at the time but it hasn't held up well at all.
@@monsterzero1965 Nope. Not a Trump supporter Monster Zero. You?
Ehhhhh. I wanna like it but this just hasn't blown me away or gotten me excited yet
Oh god yes!
I just hope Stephen King has the nerve to use the Ramones Pet Sematary in this film again just to keep it to some original form it's bad enough they're not using the original Creed house
I haven't read the book yet. Does anyone know the purpose of those masked children performing that ritual?
I hope they have the wendigo (the reason why the ground is bad) in the film.
4833 4833 yep he was awesome in the book! It was in the original pet semetary for about a couple of seconds you can hear it walk and it knocks a tree down
What the hell. If you’re gonna do a remake, just keep it simple.

Me:sees this part*
Also me:iS tHiS fReAkInG mIcHeAl aFtOn aNd hIs fRiEnDs?.
Looks ok. Hey does anybody know that Stephen King does have other books too. Just sayin
I'll give it a chance.
Stephen king 👍
Was that cgi, or did they find a kid that’s identical to gage from the original?
They bet not fuck this up who remember the original
can it please just be scary? please don’t be cheap, please actually shock us and terrify us and if you don’t intend to break new grounds...just leave it
What's next remake of SLEEPWALKERS?
Oh god
Rajesh Karan Lol. Maybe Shocker.
Rajesh Karan if where Lucky
There's going to be the sequel of IT 2017 tho
I’m gonna say Cujo is next , if not my second guess is The Shining
Jason Clarke and John Lithgow, but, I'm not sure about anything beyond the two..
Why?
Oh HELL yeah! :)
dat drum beat is awesome.
why?
Getting the IT treatment? Looks good.
0.17 😭
Wow
why even remake these things when there's no new twists? same story in HD. It's stupid. and just to differentiate from the old one, they said "the ground is bad" instead of "the ground is sour"
This looks like it's going to be as disturbing as the original. Can't wait to see it :D
They should have left it alone!
It’d be dumb for Judd to have a thick New England accent like in the book.
What’s with the Stranger Things font?
Christopher Kirby the Stranger Things font is the font used on Stephen King books for about a decade or two.
Judging by the cheap jump scare the rest of the movie will be filled with just that.
DriftTaxi yea cause the original movie didn’t have a truck barrel past to make you jump. Every horror movie has jump scares. Lol
Trailers can be really bad at showing the overall tone of a film, depending on how its cut you can make it seem like almost anything
@@mikekappel4220 okay, so I've seen a good deal of horror movies that don't even have to use jump scares to be a good horror movie.

What animal makes this noise?
I believe it's a bird called a Loon.
An Owl
Ugh. Another remake. Did we need the last one?
Looks awesome
Its official holywoods out of ideas!
Why the fuck didn't they make John Lithgow use the Down East accent!!????
PASS!!!!!
The original pet cemetery was way much better
This movie, should of been left alone not make a remake. This trailer is dumb doesn’t show nothing just people yelling and loud noise and apocalypto music.
ViolentJay1985 it’s a remake, what does the trailer need to tell you. Not like we don’t know what the story is :\
You know that's not a good take. I hate trailers for the main reason on how they give away everything, so much so that you don't even need to see the movie

Eh, not sure if I want to see it or not. I loved It but I feel like they tried to make it better. This seems unnecessary.

Those ****ing 'Jump Scares'...in every movie. ... ugh....
Does anybody notice the letters mf on the bottom right of the screen? Lmao does anybody know what that stands for LOL
Very underwhelming.
lemme guess. The kids with the masks are unliving beings - undead seems incorrect term.
Omg my bff is in that movie that girl😀 name jete I’m so happy for her
F her
i hope they don't fuck this 1 up like they did the remake of I.T
Fuckin truck made me jump, should be good if it Carrys on the first movie not so much the second one but yeah, did gon b guud
