    If you get them redone go with powder coat. It's thicker, more durable, and a better finish.

    HI Sandro, love your videos. And for those tight spots, would it be better&faster to spray the coating via airbrush?

  • @stevegreer1963
    @stevegreer1963 Před 7 lety +1

    Is there any reason you avoided using a power ball or foam cone in the tight areas of the wheel and polished them by hand instead?

  • @dannyrexknight
    @dannyrexknight Před 7 lety

    With the barrel of the wheel would it not be just easier to repaint????

    How fast do you go through those Rupes nano pads? Are you able to clean them afterwards or do you throw them away?
    P.S. Excellent job correcting those wheels. I am doing the same to my 16' Honda Accord Sport wheels.

    Liked the vid Sandro, a good effort in getting the rims to an acceptable look, however; I would have been very disappointed at the job the spray shop did for me if they were my rims. A very nice black colour spoiled by shoddy workmanship. Thanks for the effort and upload mate 👌

      Car Craft Auto Detailing nice reply mate, I agree it did make a good vid. I recently had mine repaired not refurbished and it cost £250 for the 4 alloys with light kerb rash from previous owner. Can still see minor sanding marks on the front face, so a little disappointed at that but overall from 0.5m away it looks good. I just don't think the quality is out there without paying stupid money for it. I thought £250 was enough, but obviously not. Anyway, looking forward to the next vid mate 😊

    Could the ceramic coating be applied to matte finish powder coated rims?

    To bad that your painter did not do a proper job. But you have the wheels looking first class.

    Hey Sandro great video as usual! Quick question, how long does the sealer work for on the rims before you need to re-apply? Also how well does it work when it comes to removing brake dust, tar and grime? Keep up the great reviews!

    @richardkkirk Před 7 lety +4

    I think the person who did your wheels has well and truly had ya pants down mate, i'd be getting my money back, to be honest, after watching quite a few of your videos with how you work, i'm pretty sure if you would have painted them yourself you would have made a far better job....

    • @richardkkirk
      @richardkkirk Před 7 lety

      plus after you sprayed them you could have sorted them out to a decent standard i'm sure......did ya not see if ya could get at least some of ya money back?

    28 millimeters is around the thickness of three Kit Kat bars stacked on top of each other so I don't think your meter is measuring millimeters

      I am using 10:1 for light cleaning and 4:1 heavy cleaning. I directly spray it on the area then agitate with brush and then use microfiber to mop it up and rest of that dry it self. Its happen on different seat this is my second time use apc on seat and i am have this problem again.

      Maybe apc have some kind of problem am not sure. Or dose using a tap water or distilled water will make the difference. And where i live we are shot of many detailing products. I have available just 3 or 4 brands. Like sonax, autoglym and meguiar's. So what product you recommend.

  • @leftyhara3876

    28 millimeters would be a ridiculous thickness for paint ;0)
    A "mil" is not a millimeter... one mil equals 1/1000 of inch or 0.0254 of a millimeter..
    A micron = 1 millionth of a meter and 25.4 microns = .001” inch or 1 mil.

      Why would you not take it back and get your money back or require them to fix it properly? I would have been so upset and they would have heard from me until it was fixed. :)

  • @faridatrouz3468

    You should bring them back the rim, and they to explain their selfs, why are they lying, they should fix their mistakes.and do it for free, this is not professional at all.

  • @nickantuar1682
    @nickantuar1682 Před 6 lety

    Wow, I would've been mad as a cut snake over the job they did, especially as it sounds like you'd paid a higher price for a level of work that was supposed to be agreed upon. I hope you got your money completely refunded.
