I'm really excited to see people talking about ELRS and the new RadioMaster MT12 in the ground rc world. It's not all about getting the most range, but link quality. There's no reason to lose your radio link today. Spektrum has never been very good, marginally better than FM.

Thanks! You should! Now is a great time to restart. There's so many receivers and elrs takes you farther and it is reliable. Plus now there is the dji caddx or even the 03 air units for fpv. Clear HD fpv for hundreds of meters.
Just pre-ordered the Radiomaster MT12. The website says they should start shipping around Nov. 20th. Can't wait!

You can use the balance connector of your battery so you can use less voltage.

Will either work with a TX16S?
Yes, if your tx16s is elrs or if install the external elrs module on the multi protocol tx16s.

Won’t the antenna allow for better range?
the internal Antenna has more than enough range for surface vehicles like boats and cars.
When you use ELRS LORA Modes, it's easily several kilometers.
