Have you had any issues with people saying you cant fly in pcb?
Do you have to get authorization prior to flying in pcb via an app like open sky?

The restricted zone starts on the west end of PCB a mile or so past Carousel, there's also one around a government facility on Thomas Drive. Other than that you don't need any authorization to fly in PCB. Use the FAA's B4UFLY app to check whether you're allowed to fly in an area.

Are there restrictions near the helicopter helipad?

@@timjchick Well the helipads are shown in the B4UFLY app, but there are no restrictions as far as the app goes.

What the range on the thing lol

Well, technically, in an open area you can get as far as 7 miles, but in a populated area you might get up to a mile. But then again, it depends on the altitude and whether there are any tall buildings potentially blocking the signal. In PCB I usually start losing signal after around 2000 feet.
