Wow, when you said “when did God tell you to lay down the hope of marriage“ it hit me directly in the heart! And “of course it would be God’s good will to bring me a husband” (one who’s a godly man). Why wouldn’t God want to bless me with marriage?! I’ve associated love with sex. I do want to be married & want to first learn to allow God to be my husband & that He’s enough!

Thank you Chrystal and Lisa. I was sexually abused as a child and young adult. It took me years to address it. I prayed for healing and direction for years. I had a difficult time trusting men which caused me to have some hurtful relationships. As I grew spiritually, I learned to trust GOD and trust the process. My faith and hope in the LORD caused me to not give up on love. I've taken risks with love and marriage and my heart has been broken. I don't regret getting married because my intentions were good and I refuse to allow the enemy to prevent me from receiving GOD'S best. It's so worth it when we put GOD first and allow HIM to be the center of our lives. I wish all of the LORD'S blessings on you for a loving husband and father for you and your daughter Lisa Harper. May GOD'S will be done.
Ive been celibate for over 4 years and not even a kiss.even with opurtunitys.bec i met a beautiful young like 21 or 22 supposed Christian man who could sing and wanted to marry me a single mother and he tried to groom my son for molesting Jesus told me not to marry him and I thought it was my fault I thought I wasn't good enough and if I would have recognized it was God's voice I wouldn't have suffered so greatly my son did not get molested by him thank God Jesus warned me several times and every time people would tell me I was wrong even my pastor told me I can marry him he will cry real tears and lie to my face and you would tell me that I was listening to the devil but what Jesus showed me is when Jesus says no it's for a reason and he didn't want me depending on my pastor Jesus wanted me to know that I could hear his voice to just like everyone else and he wanted me to trust him and when Jesus says no it's a no even if everyone says yes so so now what I pray and God says no I'm waiting for the man God has for me he will help you to what he says no trust him and forgive everyone I forgave the man that did all these things to me and I stay completely away from him all together I'm thankful that Jesus kept helping me when everyone kept lying to me or saying what they thought what's the truth I hope this blesses you
Hi, Nita thanks for sharing sweety! I thank you so much for encouraging others to open up and share! Turned 30 February 1st this year thank God I'm still here! I was also molested as a young teen..it all started around 12-13 & I kept it a secret through school, counseling and from anyone it caused alot of problems since I wouldn't tell the truth at like 15-16 years old. It took me awhile to get honest with my mother about 17-19 years old I decided it wasn't my fault and started sharing my past first with my ex-girlfriend then family and my best friend who always stuck by my side to this day he remains my only true friend who would do anything for my folks and I! God Bless you sweetheart praying for you and everybody who's been in a similar situation stay strong!

Thank you for sharing this because God knows I needed this. I've struggled in my cycle of emotionally unavailable men and singleness. I needed to hear this for comfort and renewal in my faith in God for this season in my life.
Such a honest conversation......so much of her story is mine minus the sexual abuse. My father was an abusive man to my mother. Unfaithful pretty much all my life.....lisa you are blessed to have not committed yourself to marriage like i did. A man who would show genuine interest, emotionally available, sweet, very attractive, around my age and romantic would terrify me. I wanted to be married in the since you said, but out of fear of being hurt and for other reasons I made a choice that has cost me in more ways than I care to tell. The reality of all that it has cost me is so very sad and hard many days. To have hope is everything. Being single allows hope for romantic love. I'm believing for you that God will send him. You've lost nothing.

From a person who has been married and now single, it's refreshing to see the God of love in this new day using single and married women alike. Being single and a mother is not a disease. "God is not a man (human)..." HE is all God!!!

Loved Lisa's honesty and transparency talking about racism she encountered because of adopting a child out side of her ethnicity. I thank God for videos posted like these!! Such freedom, truth and encouragement!! Sisters in Christ, I have been uplifted while listening to you both speak! This is what the body of Christ is for. To help each other! I love the part about bringing hope to the front burner again. My hope was on the back burner for years and honestly the fire was off. It sat cold in a pot and I feel God has moved it to the front and it is lit again! Soon to be at a boil, I'm sure!

Wonderful interview. Wonderful stories. My heart breaks for Missy, because her mom is so loving, but others will continue NOT to be. It's the world we live in and if you put yourself in Missy's shoes it is easy to see that she will endure much and to date, there's no therapy for racial persecution/abuse and these things DO
have an effect on a building self esteem and personalities. I hope that she is among others like her for a role model. Her mom can be a good role model, but there are some experiences that she will not be able to address.

What a joy it is to see two women, who both love God dearly, sit together and share answers and opinions regarding really hard questions! I as actually looking for a set of CD’s by Lisa on the study of Job. As always, God led me to what He wanted me to hear. It was so beautiful. I found myself laughing at some parts then going immediately into shedding tears - of sadness, of joy, of gratitude. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am a single mom of two, never been married. Dated jerks all my life and I just started my journey with God and Lisa has been such an inspiration.
This is why I love how God uses Lisa!

You left out the way many of us do menopause...
Seriously...
We don't all do hot flashes.
We don't all do mood swings.
We are redeemed, and many of us believe we don't have to do it the hard way.
I went through menopause and lost all the extra weight.. More than 50 pounds, closer to 100 pounds but don't want to admit I was that fat.
I went for lots of walks and prayed a lot... Ate serious amounts of veggies and spinach.
Lost the extra weight by jumping on the trampoline everyday..
Didn't to hormone therapy replacement.
I don't think we all have to go thru menopause the hard way...
I'm grateful I'm blessed to have an easy time.. My relatives had it rough.
Years later I went back to eating lots of deserts... and grew golf ball sized tumors in my uterus.. Etc..
so recently I had a hysterectomy..
So I'm back to trying harder to respect my body by not over eating. It's a process.
I'm worth taking care of. I'm learning new things about my worth as a human being and how much God dearly loves us.
Also we were not alowed to laugh or show happiness as children, so I'm learning God wants us happy.
I look forward to getting your book when I go back to work and can afford to buy it.
I'm still recovering from the hysterectomy.
I'm fasting and praying for answers to this part of my life and financial provisions.

Racial prejudice does exist in every ethnicity. However, *Racism* (this term has a specific definition beyond just hating others for their ethnicity)) does not apply to all racial hate. that needed clarifying. It's all horrible and not God's will. I have also found that in America certain groups are more prone to showcase their hate "outwardly", and that the racial prejudice of one set of people is actually in RESPONSE to injustices they perceive or that they have legitimately witnessed and experienced. (again it is not ok to do this, but it is a defense mechanism that many have adapted because they felt violated)

OH LORD HAVE MERCY ... HOT FLASHES A COUPLE YEARS BEFORE I FOUND OUT THAT I HAD A HUGE FIBROID TUMOR. HAD TO GET A HYSTERECTOMY, NOW THE HOT FLASHES ATE 200 % WORSE. DOCTOR SCARED ME ONTO NOT TAKING HORMONES. MY MOM PASSED FROM CANCER FROM A FIBROID TUMOR SO I'M JUST SUFFERING THROUGH BEING BOILING HOT ALL THE TIME !!!🥵
Lord I pray and ask you bring Lisa Harper a godly fearing husband for her and her beautiful daughter in Jesus name so this sooner than even accepted Amen…let him Go above and beyond then even what expected as a godly husband is Jesus name I’m praying in Jesus name Amen.
I am now 71 but I was sexual abused starting at age 5. But My Heavenly Father or Daddy has totally healed me. I was married to a wonderful who lived me even though I couldn't have children. Now he is with Jesus in heaven. He always wanted me to get married again because He was 20 years older than me. Well my Heavenly Father brought Jeff into my life. I am now getting married again. He was sitting right behind me in church. He even knows how I radically praise the Lord. But he has a daughter who totally loves me. Her Mother is with Jesus also in heaven. But what awesome I am now going to have not 1 but 4 grandchildren. Isn't our Heavenly Father awesome
