3:58 is actually the Plymouth Superbird, not the Dodge Daytona. They are very similar, but, they have their differences xD

Matchbox are getting better and better. Well, when I was a kid, in the '80s and begining of the '90s they were good castings, but after that, MB somehow suffered in quality. Now, their castings are closer to the real vehicles' proportions than HW's casting. As an example, I can state the first model of Dodge Viper. HW's casting is "squished" and made me hate that car, while I just bought a 5 pack of Matchbox with it and even if I haven't opened it yet, it made me stop hating the car.
I think that Mattel's may be trying to make HW carry the "wild" themes with wild paintjobs, custom cars, etc, while they're trying to make Matchbox carry more "down to Earth" reproductions of real cars, with more normal paint jobs, stock bodies and daily life themes.
