Love your video! The wife and I visited Brushy last July and rode the Devils Triangle while we were there. Definitely a ride worth doing. If I remember correctly shortly after where your video stops there is a section of humps and curves unlike I have seen anywhere that was a blast. Again, thanks for sharing, excellent work!

Thanks for the updated video. I was just there spending 9 hours on a Polaris at WindRock and we got so deep and “ off the map” we would out trail would end up up on 116 right at the prison. Nice ride MM. We rode it last summer, and hardly saw a car on the complete triangle. We did meet several small groups of motorcycles. But, I’m from East Tenn and it’s home, so I hardly notice the traffic, was riding US129 long before it as nicknamed the Tail of the Dragon! Haha..... TN30 from Spencer, thru Pikeville, to Dayton is another great ride. You’ll pass right by Fall Creek Falls State Park. Nice place to take a break and see the highest water falls east of the Rocky Mtns. Ride safe my friend!

As a Canadian who has annually pilgrimaged to this area for over 15 years I can only say there are no bad roads in The Smokies. However, there is bad timing. The Triangle is best when big rigs are absent or minimal. Ask the locals, they know when it’s best - one Mother’s Day we had The Triangle all to ourselves - brilliant!

Great, you told the world of my secret favorite road to ride. It's much better now that it has been repaved about 2 years ago. Before it was a real challenge! love the triple switchbacks at the end of the Triangle, I've seen more than my share of dropped bikes as people hit those 330+ degree switchback with a 45 incline (at least it seems like 45 deg.). Great ride and highly recommend to anyone to try it.

I live closer to the Dragon and ride it frequently. I rode Devil's Triangle for the first time yesterday. I liked the variety w/in the Triangle. Some tight switchbacks both climbing and descending and also some much looser, undulating curves. I'm looking forward to riding it again in the various seasons. I'd love to see it in Winter w/ some of the foliage down and the water running. Nice vid.

Great video MM. The Trisngle used to be a major coal hauling road, so base and width is above average for the area. Since they quit hauling, the pavement lasts a lot longer and less gravel gets kicked in. A good technical ride. If you exit at Oliver Springs it’s about 1 1/2 hrs to the Dragon. From Rocky Top, almost 3 hrs.
Really, anything from Cookeville to Asheville is worth the trip. Tn 85 from Gainesboro to Grimsley! TN 30 you mentioned. TN 68 from Tellico to Copperhill. TN 56 from McMinnville to Whitwell. The choices are almost endless. - Cyclehound, GL1800, Connie C-10, ST1100

Him on his heritage and me on my VTX 1300... we started out from Caryville and fortunately hit the devil triangle first in the counter clockwise Direction hitting switchbacks on the uphill... then going to the Dragon... the dragon wasn't nothing compared to the triangle... you need them skills to do those switchbacks uphill... That was back in May of 2019.
