I think it's funny how people are complaining that she didn't use a model with problematic skin. Celebrities go through intense procedures to have perfect skin on red carpet events. They get facials, microdermabrasion, go on a specific diets right before the red carpet so they look their best. Monika is a celebrity makeup artist, meaning most of her clientele already has amazing skin. Yes, I would like to see how you approach more problematic skin as well, but this video is about red carpet skin, not how to cover acne, age spots, etc. That's more about color correcting more than anything else. Anyways, I think you did a lovely job Monika!

Hi Monika. Thanks for the video! However, I feel that it doesn't quite address the big issues that concern most ordinary people, and indeed some celebrities too. Could you give more specific tips on and demonstrate how you would treat and apply makeup to celebrities who have an uneven textured skin, pigmentation, visible pores, lines, acne? Basically, skin that has issues, isn't flawless or great to begin with, for which a light layer of foundation just isn't going to cut it.
I think that only by demonstrating on a more 'troubled' skin can we really see the power of your skill and talent of transforming and making people look like themselves, but fabulous.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way - I FULLY appreciate you for your lovely videos and sharing what you do with the world. Btw, thanks for removing the soft-focus. This definitely is another step towards letting us see how your techniques and products work to transform the face. xxx

Hi Monika! I love your videos. They're great. The reason I'm writing is to ask you some helpful tips or even a full video with steps for men using make up in certain occasions. Recently, I've finished my Master Course and I had a very important presentation and I had to look my best. Since I have some blemishes and redness on my face, I looked forward in some of your videos to get few tips in applying foundation and concealer. I felt that, obviously, most of them are focused on make up for women, which is absolutely natural. However, I'd like to see some make up tips for men, once sometimes we also have to use it to achieve a very good and natural look. Please, I kindly ask to make a video with make up tips for men, considering the fact that we usually have thicker and more oily skin than women. Congratulations for your great videos! Best wishes !

Hello Monika, as usuall I loved your beautiful radiant skin makeup. I know , something about olay, My mom only used olay product and her skin is fantastic at 72yrs old. I really loved Nars little bottle of foundation. Is that something new ? would be very convenient for any makeup artist to carry around.

i have to agree with the previous comment. i love your videos but would wish u used women that were not naturally so beautiful. u say u choose regular women to ur videos but still they are the most beautiful ones of the "regular" bunch.. like this one and the math teacher as well.. they could be models as far as the beauty and flawlesness of their complection. the one you made showing how to cover couperosa skin was really good! :)
Very pretty Monika!! What shade in the nars concealer would I be if I'm a mac nc25?
If you want the concealer to highlight, I would say you would want the Vanilla shade. If you're wanting it to be closer to your skin tone, go for the custard shade. I use both, depending on what look I want, and I am an NC25 :)

This would be helpful if my skin actually looked like hers! I didn't really learn how to conceal anything or how to fix problematic skin. She is stunning, but this wasn't very helpful. Seemed more like promoting products. 😞

Do you really use Olay on celebrities???
It's so unsanitary to use products directly from the tube/applicator
I believe she gives those products to the guest model as a small token of appreciation for being in the video. So it doesn't matter if it's used directly. I'm sure she's drowning in unused makeup just like every other makeup artist or youtuber so it won't break her to grab a new lipgloss and mascara to use for the video and let the model take it.
The products she used could already be the model's!
