Back when I was a kid, we didn’t have A/C. We slept on the back porch that was screened in to keep out mosquitoes. That was a long time ago and things have changed. People (especially seniors) need power in the hot summer months. Centerpoint has not maintained their infrastructure.

So why is the CEO not issuing a public apology? What a coward!

Clickbait and irresponsible journalism. That’s a picture of community leaders not of the CEO.

What Point does it make that they admit it but continue to fail each and every storm and during high heat and even the slightest wind. They need to step it up, fix the issues without charging the residents while their CEO is getting paid millions and sitting in a 70 degree room while telling us to have our units at 78! The hypocrisy 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😡

The Governor appoints the Public Utility Commission who regulates energy companies. We all know how Republicans feel about regulations. Thanks again Abbott.

mistakes of this magnitude shouldn't be made when your making 30 million a year. this storm shows you shouldnt operate a power company like a publicly traded business the way its being ran they put investors and the needs of the ceo before us and as a result people died due to the way they handle business. Centerpoint should not be allowed to exist anymore dont replace the ceo at this point we need a whole new energy company or just join the national grid. repeat failure and continuously loss of life should not be able to make 30 million a year. texas needs better laws and regulations in place to protect the people and infrastructure a cat one storm should not knock us out for almost two weeks. a cat one people should be able to wake up in the morning make some coffee and watch the storm pass not lose there entire fridge and spend hundreds on gas and only survive off of fast food joints

    Just love the language
    " mistakes were made "
" we re getting to the bottom of this "
" there has to be accountability "
" there are some very concerned people "
How long does it take to learn this...
Language...? Do i need a degree?

What an ignorant political statement. You know not every power company dropped the ball, right? And speaking of deregulation, California beat Texas to it, and still haven’t got it right. They are is worse shape than Texas. Your comment is typical liberal 🐂 💩 lol! 😂
