Just need to add one more option where we can store the song in a set list and by checking and in checking the box we can add and remove the songs from set list.

    What is the best way to connect BeatBuddy and Aeros Looper if I also want to route BeatBuddy's audio through Aeros? And does Aeros work also as USB audio interface and USB MIDI inferface?

    • @SingularSoundOfficial
      @SingularSoundOfficial  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Milos, the best way to connect both pedal is via MIDI (BB Master Clock) demonstrated in this video. This way you will have separate audio source (BeatBuddy & Aeros) independently from each other and total control of both pedals. The Aeros does not work as an interface but you can export all the audio files into your computer for post production. Feel free to reach out at support@singularsound.com for any further questions.

  • @vicenteb531

    Hi! Very interesting functions. It´s very similar to what you can do now with the BB+Infinity Looper (from Pigtronix), except that with Aeros now you have 6 tracks to choose in any order, while with the Infinity Looper you only have 2 tracks. The only issue with the 6 track with Aeros Looper + Beatbuddy is that a a higer number of drum parts (lets say +3) can not (please let me know if I am wrong with this) be set "on the fly" just like the Aeros does with its 6 tracks. The "on the fly" is a real need here for the musician/player. Here I have my guess: maybe using this two devices (Aeros Looper + Beatbuddy) along with the Midi Maestro (another Singular Sound product) can help to do this? Is there any other way less expensive than buying another device to do this? I was wondering about the Beatbuddy being slave of Aeros Looper. Would that help? Rock on.

    • @SingularSoundOfficial
      @SingularSoundOfficial  Před 5 lety +2

      The Aeros has many more advantages over the Infinity and all other loopers, such as visual feedback, the capability of parallel and sequential loops at the same time, WIFI updates, hands free live mixing with the volume wheel...
      Yes, you can use the Aeros to control the BB, and it will make the BB go to different song parts to follow the Aeros (if there are enough song parts in the BB song). However, using the BB as slave will prevent you from changing song parts on the Aeros while keeping the same drum part. Each system has it's own advantages and disadvantages.

    • @vicenteb531
      @vicenteb531 Před 5 lety +1

      @@SingularSoundOfficial Thanks for your reply! I like very much what you said about BB as slave of the Aeros. If that is the case, would the Aeros be synced with BB? I make this question because it is easy to understand that sync is possible using a looper as slave because the BB will send the Midi Clock to the looper (this is something that already occurs using BB along with Infinity Looper). But if this happens the other way around (BB as slave of the Aeros), I am not sure if that will sync. I hope I am missing something that you guys in Singular Sound have had already figured out. please let us know. Cheers.

    • @shot87
      @shot87 Před 5 lety +2

      @@SingularSoundOfficial When using BB as the master, can you still use Aeros' foot switch to transition to the next song part instead of using the BB to transition? Having BB to transition to a new song part would mean that I will have to have all the song parts in BB and be forced to use a different drum parts for each new song part instead of keeping the same beat across multiple song parts. It would be easier for more spontaneous playing if Aeros could be used for both switching song parts and to cue the transition at the end of the current loop, and using BB transition only to switch between different beat patterns. This way, the player can have the freedom of switching only the drums within a song part or switch song parts with the same drum beat. Also, would midi maestro be integrated into the workflow of BB+Aeros at some point? I have been a happy user of BB ( I was a kickstarter backer) and I have placed an order for aeros already. I am a big fan of your work and I would be considering midi-maestro as well if it can integrate seamlessly to BB+Aeros. Keep up the great work!

      You need at least two cables to use the BB's MIDI capabilities. One being the breakout cable, which we sell on our website. The other being a standard male to male MIDI cable.
      To use the BB as master, have the male to male MIDI cable connect to the OUT port on the MIDI Breakout Cable. Then, you connect the Male to male MIDI cable to your MIDI IN on the Aeros.

      Boomerang lll has all of those. More importantly it has 3 looping modes and doesn't need to promise firmware updates to be complete. This Aeros unit has no serial sync mode...a major flaw that I'm pretty sure a firmware update wont fix. It sort of requires the beat buddy....Drum machines will always lack the human element...esp in live performance

      Aeros is way more powerful than a boomerang, I have a boomerang and there are a lot more options with this. The updates with Aeros are one of it's major benefits as it it won't get left behind and users can make suggestions. And finally, the BB sounds more human than a lot of drummers. Hey is this functionality still current? I noticed the interface of the Aeros looks different than the current firmware. I'm also wondering if there's a way for the Aeros to influence the transitions/timings of the BB? I think I tried plugging the MIDI out of the Aeros back into the master synced BB and it caused a total gridlock, so I assume it's impossible, but it would be great if it were more fluid. Makes me think that using USB MIDI sync would be a better choice for syncing like on a computer DAW...

The most important of which is when using beatbuddy as master, it's still possible to stop all loops at once on aeros, but it does not stay synced with beatbuddy when restarting the loops while the beatbuddy is still playing. Is there a setting I can tweak to make it so that the loops restart at the beginning of the next measure (ideal) or at least be quantized to the beat? @@SingularSoundOfficial That is totally fantastic news. Right now 11/21/ish...I need to get used to navigating with the different icon function symbols and dots etc... One thing I learned which was my bad,....was that there MUST be at least 1 currently loaded "song" for using the loop studio. Correct? It'll get there. I'm only in the 2x2 mode!! LOL!

The guitar works but no drums. Do I have to have an sd card for midi? The BB settings are correct I believe. Help!!

    What cable will I need if I bought the midi footswitch as well?

    • @SingularSoundOfficial
      @SingularSoundOfficial  Před 4 lety

      Hey there you will need a total of 3 cables to connect all three pedals together: 2 standard male to male MIDI 5 pin cables, and one MIDI breakout cable (singularsound.com/product/midi-sync-cable/)
      You connect the small female MIDI end of the breakout cable to the BeatBuddy's MIDI port, then you connect the MIDI Maestro MIDI OUT to the IN port on the Breakout cable. Then connect the Aeros MIDI IN to the OUT port on the breakout cable!

      Consider the boomerang lll....I love mine..Doesn't require a drum machine either . Cost $470 and is much more simple to learn and has more features and is rugged with great foot switch's that won't break easy. 3 looping modes as most good looping devises do.

      @@richardmhaa6538 Just sold my Boomerang and Sidecar, it's an awesome unit for sure but the Aeros & BB combo is a quantum leap ahead for my needs. The Boomerang is built like a tank so for folks used to it no reason to switch unless you need the extra features and/or real estate on the pedalboard.

    I ordered the Aeros loopstudio with the beatbuddy, midi cable and footswitch from a big store in the Netherlands. It was said the beatbuddy would be in stock next week which was a week ago. I'm returning The Aeros looper, midi cable and footswitch next week. When paying for expensive stuff, I'm a man of very little patience, this looper is pretty much useless to me without the beatbuddy, In my case I'm better off with my DAW and Ableton Live. Other than that, the beatbuddy should have an integrated looper, something simpler than the Aeros Loop studio would problably suffice. Now, I love pedals as much as the next guy but the Beatbuddy, Aeros Looper and footswitch are just too much. One device with enouch footswitches please. To end with something positive, the looper does an exellent job of the one thing it's name suggests, looping. I just wish the screen was bigger, damned, there I go again...

      You can use a XRL to 1/4inch adapter and plug a mic. We recommend the use of a pre amp/mixer to have better control of the gain levels.

    It's over priced for the lack of features. It will take longer to loop a 3 part song because this unit only records in serial mode and not serial sync. Therefore this thing was made for the beatbuddy. The problem is you would never use this to successfully entertain a live audience because they have to listen to a drum machine thru the whole show. Seems great for the studio but not for live because without the drum machine that was made for this unit by the same company. After about $1000 you can have both. The art of looping live is making the build up fun, not taking up to 2 minutes to create the tracks, while having to concentrate on drum fills and parts as well as concentrating on looping. Looks perfect for studio/home recordings. The buttons look very breakable as well....$600 ? The best live loopers create live percussion sounds or tap them out via an hand drum or synth pads from a midi devise. Studio for sure..Live...GL

    • @SingularSoundOfficial
      @SingularSoundOfficial  Před 4 lety

      Hi Richard, you can record live percussion sounds using one of the inputs and add external instruments (hand drum & pads) for your songs with the Aeros. You can use the looper in free form mode or internally quantized and don't have to use the BeatBuddy as your drummer "click". Check out this cool video with Joe Vitale Jr where he explains different ways to use the looper. czcams.com/video/lXd58H3i38w/video.html
