- Alabama Football finally got to show off the new LED lighting system installed at Bryant-Deny stadium and boy, was it something. Check out the Crimson Tide's entrance before the Tennessee game. (Patrick Greenfield | PGreenfield@AL.com)
The stadium now doubles as a giant night club.
Hopefully we can have a big party in it after the NC game hehe Night party in BDS would be a great way for fans and team to celebrate another NC.

I was there for the grand reveal of the new lights with my daughter and two sisters. It was just incredible. It was a trip of a lifetime coming down from Virginia for this game (I was born in Alabama by the way). We went to the Elephant Stomp beforehand so we were primed before they lit Bryant Denny up. Once the lights and music started, Holy Cow!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!

Yup!!!! That doesn’t seem right!!! I can picture and imagine the Alabama PA system person doing something like this at a night game!! in a somber voice... “Tuscaloosa, Alabama!! ladies and gentlemen”.. taking the field first.. the visiting ( Team name) the entire crimson tide crowd would rain down a chorus of boos as the road team walks onto the field... as the road team is practicing...... the lights at Bryant-Denny Stadium would turn pitch black as the crowd cheers and 5 minutes later, the lights turn a red tint.. the music in Bryant-Denny would play thunderstruck by AC/DC.. the PA system guy would say, “on your feet Alabama fans, make some noise...” the cheering would get louder!!! Red and white smoke would be pouring from the tunnel.. the PA system would say, “Coach Nick Saban and the reigning defending national champion, your Alabama Crimson Tide!!!!!!, Big Al the mascot, Coach Saban and the coaching staff and the entire football team would emerge thru red and white smoke in the tunnel as the marching band would play Yea Alabama our awesome fight song.. 🏈🏈 that is how I think it should be done!!! Like similar to what the NFL does!!

The visiting team chooses when to run out it varies from team to team a lot of the fcs schools actually choose to run out after Alabama so they can see and feel the crowd.

Well, Jarrod,....Georgia beat Alabama in 2007, 14 years ago.....in less time you obviously didn't know about. 26-23 in OT in Tuscaloosa.
They make enough money off of football this is only a drop in the bucket for all these lights.
Everyone always complains about how much the football team spends every year but they have no clue how much we love our Crimson Tide down here. They make approximately $130 million off of media rights and merchandise alone annually. They spend about half that every year at an average of $70 million annually.

I'm not a fan of Iowa football however, they have one of the coolest traditions in all of sports. The wave they do at the Children's Hospital with all the kids looking from the windows down on the stadium is absolutely amazing!
I was probably at this game. Bama/Tennessee games are my favorite games to go to. The crowd is always pumped up plus it’s in October so it’s cooler weather! I try to go every year. Couldn’t go last year cause of covid

I went to the Texas v. Alabama game. As a Texas fan, that environment was CRAZY. The Bama fans were super cool for the most part. Sadly, my party and I ran into some disgruntled Tide fans after the game. But that atmosphere was definitely top notch. Best of luck going forward Tide.

It's easy to be classy when you win but being classy after a loss and giving your opponent credit takes true class. Sadly, not everyone has true class regardless of where they come from or who what team they support. Glad you met some of the classy fans! As a South Carolina fan, Auburn fan, & MSU spartan, these LED spotlights are amazing! UGA is the 1st SEC school to get their 1st LED spotlights at Sanford Stadium. Michigan State should get LED spotlights like those at Spartan Stadium, but green and white.
