Why A1 heal with gurp instead of shield? Seems more efficient use of a turn when you are looking to control hp and increase damage.

Because A1 puts continuous heal in the entire team (that is loosing HP to the poisons), and A2 (shield and heal) it’s single Target.
When the team it’s safe due to Hydra post Morten effects I use A2 on Trunda to heal her directly and put a shield because the 9 Protection on him and the Zeal set on her.
When the team it’s dying I use A1 because it’s AOE effect. When they are safe I use A2. And when poisons are fading I use A3.
