Hey Grumps, been in the Army since 2017. I’m currently stuck at Fort Jackson since March 20th. They shut down our cafeteria we usually eat at, except for lunch. We had to eat MREs every day for dinner for about 45 days. Got a bunch of laughs from this. Unless you mix that protein good, you’re gonna be chewing it. I would drink a mouthful and literally have to swish it to mix the powder. You guys should try Beef Brisket with Gravy.
Pro Tip: when you heat the main course, use the heater to also heat extras. You can stuff packages of cheese in there at the same time as your meal since they are so small. It's 1000 times better. Even the cobbler is better warm, but you have to wait till after you take the main course out. There is a reason the heater lasts longer than it takes to cook the main meal. Oh right as I am writing this, they are heating it. Not doing a good job but...yea.
When he held up the pizza slice my immediate thought was "that looks like it could have come out of my old school lunch hall" but then he turned it around and even my school lunches weren't THAT bad XD

Really lunchables are just kid friendly MRE's. Most of the food tech we have today is thanks to military innovation. Every time I eat a box of Kraft Mac n' Cheese I am reminded of this.

Had several MREs before and they’re really not that bad. Of course, that presumes you have a basic level of competency in preparing and consuming them.
As a veteran it was hard watching something as simple as heating and eating an MRE go completely wrong. Oh and the omelette MRE is hands down the worst one. I've never had the pizza MRE they tried in the video (maybe it came out after I got out the Army) but based on its contents it looks like a good one.

@@goodomens42 they really aren't the worst food stuffs out there. Being a person who lives a good hour drive from any grocery store, I have a few of these on hand for emergency food stuff for when I've been to lazy to make the trip.

Had several MREs before and they’re really not that bad. Of course, that presumes you have a basic level of competency in preparing and consuming them.
As a veteran it was hard watching something as simple as heating and eating an MRE go completely wrong. Oh and the omelette MRE is hands down the worst one. I've never had the pizza MRE they tried in the video (maybe it came out after I got out the Army) but based on its contents it looks like a good one.
CDaKidd came out about a year ago, besides our lord and savior jalapeño spread and cobbler, it’s total trash even when warm
