It indeed sort of works, the stupid orange tool icon is now not visible anymore , and digital display again as it should, after a reset, gives the regular info "20k km or 10 months". Yet I couldn't get rid of new info that popped up ,in place of the "service required" text on my digital display: it now says "top up oil level" (I actually just changed oil&filter!), in orange like the service required text or showed before the reset. Anyway, thanks a lot, as I truly hate the orange tool thing lighting up 😂

Did you put the correct amount of oil in it it may need topped up it will work out when it's low

Most Excellent - with My MK 3 Megana had to a) put key card in b) Switch engine on; Press Stalk Down for N Seconds; until Service Mileage reset to 0, Press Engine Switch On With Brake and Spanner Button Reset.

I'm going to answer my own question because I found the solution. Literally. My nephew, who is a lorry driver, asked me if I tanked petrol just before the tool light came on. And I have, indeed. He said it was probably the water in the fuel. He told me to buy an additive which cleans the petrol. So I bought an STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner - Petrol. But there are also other good brands. Of course, there are ones for diesel, too. I tanked almost the full tank, and added the liquid. Since then, everything was fine, and the tool light didn't turn on any more. Grateful for my nephew! ❤️

Yes could be a number of issues relating to the engine management will need the codes check and analyzed to see what's up

Adam usually bad contacts in the bulb holder you might need to bend the contacts a bit so they are closer to the bulb or check the headlamp earths

depends on engine type if you put contact your local car parts sales with the registration they can tell you but it will more than likely be 5w40 or 5w30 fully synthetic but there are many additives in oil now so better to get the correct spec. hope this helps Tony from AK Autos like and subscribe

Go into halfords. They take your reg and type it into the computer and then they tell you what oil you need. I was in their friday. Mine cost £19.99 for my renault megane

Hi Danny if the pollution light and engine management come up the vehicle will need diagnostic computer put on it to check for fault codes could be anything without a computer and the codes you wont get the light out hope this helps if you did get a code reading and need a guide just reply I'll try and get back to you Tony from Akautos like and subscribe cheers for watching

Listen to the video press and hold the top button on the end of the stock hard to video that and show the dash sequence
