Everybody involved with Knower are stellar musicians. And remember the same brains that wrote this also wrote Clown Core. These are the types I refer to as a musicians musician.

Clowncore is incredible. So talented
Clown Core is so popular among musicians because of the talent and skill it takes to play like that, but the lyrics and the whole aesthetic is meant to be crazy/ weird/ funny, especially the screaming. They're not metalheads, just extremely talented musicians doing their version of that. The drummer comes from a dubstep background as well, so there's a reason things are compressed the way they are as well as there being "electronic undertones" in all their songs. Especially Overtime, which gives a 90's techno/ dance vibe
Clowncore is definitely a musicians band, for musicians. Not meant for people who don't understand the skill involved in playing what they're doing.

if you like her voice definitely check out one of Knower's newer songs called Crash The Car if you haven't heard it yet, they've got a video for it like this one. she's also got some really good solo music as Genevieve Artadi which tends to highlight her voice more. she writes these really interesting melodies that sound like they wouldn't work but end up really sticking in your head

I doblike clowncore, butvwhat really amazes me (besides the genious sound and timming/rythm they have.. They are synchronized on very hard stuff!) is the way they do it.. One hand on keyboard, other doing drums..?!

The drummer from knower (louis cole) and the sax player in this song are the two members of clowncore. Its not confirmed but its pretty much been narrowed down by the fanbase that louis cole is for sure in clowncore. the second member is still unknown but I am pretty sure its the sax player he used for this song just based on the style of playing.
I love both clowncore and Knower... both of them are bizarre and unusual blends of genres that dont typically go together ,clowncore being jazz and grindcore, and knower being funk-pop and jazz fusion. Louis cole is just a musical genius and his shit is so refreshing.
The fact THAT Louis Cole and Sam Gendel are Clowncore makes me appreciate it even more. It's almost like a statement like "suck on this!" If you can't listen through that you'll never see the true gem Clowncore actually is.
Clown core deserves another chance. Computers has one of the most beautiful sax solos I maybe have ever heard. Still a little scary but it’s so good

Note that Knower dropped a new album a few weeks ago (and as awesome as Sam Wilkes is, Mononeon is on bass for the new tracks).
Yes, Clowncore is a bit out there and is brilliant but not something you want to sit and listen to over and over ... Knower is much more listenable (and people won't look at you like your a weirdo if you're listening to it). One thing that is amazing about Knower is how many tracks are recorded and filmed at his house like this one ... but with like a choir and 30 other musicians.
They remind me of my experience back in college where while I was a psych major, I had several friends that were music majors and we'd hang out in their apartment complex and jam and lots of wild sounds were created (to be fair, none as good as this).
Haha! Fuck yeah. Knower rips. As does Louis Cole. I you want to deep dive on how Clown Core even came to be a thing - listen to the first two Mr. Bungle on Warner Bros. albums - self-titled, and Disco Volante. This was where I came from before hearing Clown Core - and therefore had a greater understanding and appreciation. Knower though... lordy. Finally seeing them at the Boulder Theater later this year.
Sam Wilkes blows his own mind sometimes with how good he is.

Clowncore is functionally Knower sans all but Louis and Sam and a couple of clown mask thrown in…
I love how much work Knower has to put into looking not-cool. They also recently uploaded 3 more live sessions that might beat these ones, The Abyss is amazing.
I'm frankly disappointed you didn't appreciate Clown Core, it's audiovisual art imo
I missed this coz I had to watch my nephew in the pool... I also didn't vibe with the clowncore. I could see the musical talent but my ears didn't like what they were doing.
This, however, is much more pleasing to my ears in nearly every aspect.
I would consider old mate redeemed.

You can't possibly know if Louis Cole is clowncore. Those guys have clown masks on....so....
