When horses are hopelessly beaten, they are eased by their jockeys. There is no use running them hard. It is standard operating procedure in horse racing.

Be interesting to see what direction they take the colt. He reminds me of Snow Chief. Despite what some on here say this was actually a pretty fast race for the day. Prat put them away on the turn. The runner-up has a big future. Blinkers on, check. These are 2 year olds people kooky things happen. Congrats to team Eurton.
Frosted Ice Pharoah I think he would’ve gotten this race as well. It was disappointing to find out he had an abscessed foot. He was my main pick in this field.. I think Dennis’ Moment would’ve won or at least placed had he not stumbled so badly coming out of the gate. As for Eight Rings, the hype behind the horse was a joke apparently. Perhaps he just had an off day. I don’t know. I don’t see any excuse for him here though. He faded like War of Will did in the Belmont.
This race left a very nasty taste in the mouth. It was obviously fixed. The favorite was doped to the eyeballs (he couldn't even pass the Japanese horse) and the other fancied horses were beaten out of sight. Ortiz was interviewed after the race and he was laughing

I've never heard a last place horse get so many calls by the announcer.... even in deep stretch

Dogs....they did not even mention the jockey. Horses does not win without good jockeys on top. They acted like the jockey was not in the team.

If you had this trifecta, you're a better handicapper than I am. I picked the Baffert horse, and he did an el foldo in the stretch.
This was almost as disappointing to watch as this year’s Kentucky Derby. Wow... Just wow.

It was not a joke. Anything can happen in horse racing. The ONLY reason Dennis' Moment didn't win was because of his horrible stumble
