I’m definitely a book lover, I need to have the physical book in my hands. I’ve had plenty of friends tell me to try the reader but I just can’t get behind it. Give me an actual book any day of the week over the reader.
My daughter bought me my first Kindle and I totally fell in love with it. I am an avid reader and generally read 4 or 5 books a week. I bought a new Kindle when my other Kindle basically quit holding a charge, and I got a Kindle Fire 8 (12th generation). I don't know what your favorite genre is, but I am Christian Suspense/Mystery. Here is a list of my favorite authors, some are non-Christian.
Christy Barritt, Susan Sleeman, Lynette Eason, and C.C. Warrens non-Christian authors
Nora Roberts, J.D. Robb, Debbie Macomber, and Fern Michaels.
I love reading...my mom always read to me as a child and I always had books. I still (at 81) have books my grandmother gave me. This really instilled in me my love of reading and I did the same for my girls. My grandmother had passed by the time I had them but my aunt alway gave books as gifts. I have not tried a kindle..I love to hold..to feel a book. I have favorite authors...one is Fern Michaels..she has a series that I love and follow. Now into the 30's. The Sisterhood series. All her books are great...many others but... Now, that storage box is something that could organize the linen closet. I try folding those fitted sheets but they never come out like the videos I've seen. But I do 'fold'. But your system sounds faster 🤪 I do like to keep them together by putting the sheets inside one of the pillowcases and store the set like that. It keeps them together in the closet. Thanks for today's tips. 🥰👍🏻
I am a kindle reader. I love it! I used to be overwhelmed with books (library loved it as I donated them after reading) but then I got a kindle! Other than my collector'e editions, my books are now all gone. I have 10.000+ books on my to-be-read list....all on my kindle. I had to put extra memory on my kindle to hold them all. I read every day and read a minimum of 100 books every year. I can't imagine living without it!
I do audiobooks from the library because I can listen while I sew.
I’m a kindle girl and have been for over 10 years now l love it l like reading before going to bed so this way I don’t disturb my husband and my favourite author is kc Lynn love her books. I love your work especially the bloopers 😂thanks for the laughs
I’m definitely a Kindle girl! I love mine because I can borrow books from my library and they are returned automatically if I don’t need to renew them! This is awesome for me since I’m disabled and don’t drive anymore. Not only am I not waging heavy books back and forth but there is a HUGE selection of ebooks. Most all of the books available at your library has been put in ebook format. WONDERFUL for me! ❤❤❤
I need to hit up the library!
I don't have a Kindle. Is it really worth getting? I'm disabled also and can't drive. I can't walk anymore. I have MS. Can you borrow books from your friends that have a Kindle?
@@sharoncole3440I dont have a kindle, I have a different tablet, and I only had to download the app the library told me I needed. But no, you can not borrow "books" from your friends. If you already have a tablet, just use that one, you dont have to buy a different one.
@@sharoncole3440 I’ve never done that so I don’t know but if you call your library they can help you get started. I use a kindle because I can’t stand the brightness of my iPad. But now my Mama uses her iPad to read hers. My husband got me mine and connected it to my iPad. I called our library to see what format they used and downloaded the app. I choose my books and it automatically downloads. When my time is up they automatically return. You can get them longer if you notify them in advance or you have the option of returning them and choosing more. I love it! I have MS too and it’s been a lifesaver for me. Not only convince but it allows me to get out of my own head for a little while.
You’re one of the best on CZcams! I’m a book lover!
I shared this video with my husband because I see something I would like for my birthday next month. 🥰 I want that paper cutter with all the different cutting blades. 💖
@melissayberra1924 does that work??
Are these all from Amazon??
It's a great tool! I hope you get it!
Yes
Does this just lay on top of the paper? There's nothing under the blade right?
One thing that I really like and recommend, is watching Courtney!!!! She can make your day!!! She is REAL!!!
Aww, thank you!
My son gave me a Kindle, and I LOVE it. I do miss turning the pages slightly, but that's not terrible. I do love your cover! I started with authors of previously read, like Debbie Macomber, and moved around since then. When you're searching one author, pay attention to the authors also recommended.
I love my kindle. I fought against it too until my husband got me one for Christmas a few years ago. Now I couldn’t live without it. I have kindle unlimited so I can borrow books from Amazon.
I LOVE my nook, and I love my books 😊❤
I love kindle! Carolyn Brown is my favorite author!
I flip flop between reading on my phone and reading an actual book. When reading on my phone, I love that I can immediately go on to next book if it's a series but sometimes I just want to "smell" a real book!😂 I also subscribe to FFF!! Can't wait to try some of your recommendations in this video!!❤
My book series recommendation is Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. There are 30 books so far. They are funny. Several yrs ago they tried to make a movie based on the books, but IMO they screwed up the casting, it had Katherine Heigl as Stephanie (ugh). The only character they got spot on was Sherri Shepherd as Lula, Stephanie’s sidekick. Sorry, I practically wrote a book in the comments 😂❤
Love my Kindle, my husband gave me one for Christmas 7 years ago. I follow James Patterson, Lisa Gardner, Sue Watson and many others.
Thanks for the new product recommendations.
Kindle girl but also downloaded Libby on my tablet so I can read library books. Great video Courtney ❤
I'm a hard core Kindle reader for probably 15-20 years. I also love cozy mysteries. I pay for unlimited and get tons of free books. I also have audible. I listen to one book and read a differnt book on my kindle, so yes I am a hardcore reader. It is so much easier to read a kindle while laying down,
I have always been an avid reader, waiting excitedly for each Weekly Reader order to come around so I could get new books. I married a reader and together we taught our children the importance of reading. When we built our home twenty years ago I drew up plans for the architect to change the formal dining room into our home library to fill with books. I was also a reading teachers assistant. It was joyful turning struggling students into avid readers.
I love to read so much that I'll read anything with words on it if I didn't have a book with me. I never ever would have thought I'd go digital. I thought I'd try it after a couple of times being in the city shopping and sitting in the car while hubby got a haircut or into a golf shop. I was hooked! I always have a few books purchased so I no longer and anywhere without something to read.
I still have my kindle from when they first came out. I love reading on it especially outdoors no glare.
I still love books turning the pages and how it is bound. Also love walking into our local libraries and seeing the massive amount of books just waiting for someone to pick out. Library card is free. My daughter and son obtained their library card when they each turned 5. They are grown up now and still have the love of reading and both have kindles and still buy books 📚 📖
Love that!
I’m a book lover, hold the book, turn the pages! I just can’t make the change. My 85 year old Mom reads on a Kindle! Interesting to hear your story! Love watching your videos 15:54 especially this one on your recommendations on products! Thanks for sharing!
I love the kindle app on my phone. Much easier to carry with me! If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you get your choice of a new release each month. They generally give you six options.
I am a avid reader and I am a huge Kindle lover. I love having hundreds of books at my fingertips and I love that it is easy to take the Kindle on the go if I want too. With that being said, I also love the app on my phone for those times I don't have my Kindle with me but am stuck somewhere. I can see read my books on my phone. Love too, that I don't disturb anyone when I'm reading with my Kindle late at night in a hotel room. BookBub is a great way to get discounted books, there are always free ones in the mix as well. The Ryder Creed K-9 Mystery series are great books, especially since you love dogs. Hugs, Brenda
I'll add those to my list! Thank you!
I have kindle and i love it especially when we travel but I do like a real book every now and then. Thanks for the craft tool update and my favorite part of your videos is your bloopers. You are human and make boo boos just like we do and yours are hilarious.
I LOVE MY KINDLE!! I was like you and never thought I would be able to read without holding an actual book. My book recommendations are Any of Francine Rivers. If you have never read any of her books, I would start with Redeeming Love, The Antonement Child, and Leota’s Garden. Also Beverly Lewis books are wonderful as well. Also, if you have not read Where the Crawdads Sing, it is a must.
Haha I was TOTALLY hoping that the sheet thing was something that helps fold the sheets, kinda like the t-shirt folding things.
I'm so glad you did another favorites video. I really liked your January favorites. I love that you give updates and also tell us about things that didn't work. I added the glue pen to my cart. I think it would be great for paper crafting. I am asking for a FFF membership for Mother's Day, so thanks for sharing that. Can't wait for the Mystery Box next week!
That cutter looks great. I hope you will be using so we can see it in action...all those blades are included? When you held it up at first, it reminded me of the cutter on my plastic wrap. It has a little blade that you just run across to cut wrap instead of pulling against a blade that never seems to go straight. And the glue pen seems like it could be a great alternative when doing small stuff. Now...back to the video...really appreciate all this. 👍🏻🥰
I listen to books In my car. I listen to them through a free library app from my area. I have to have a library card through your library. I was like you I stopped reading books because I fell asleep! It works out great on long trips, it makes the trip seem a lot shorter!
I started out with a Nook (through Barnes & Noble), and eventually switched to Kindle, because I'm such an avid reader and have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I still have a collection of physical books and will buy them cheap at thrift stores because I love a good bargain, but most of my reading now is on my Paperwhite. It mimics a real book page better than the backlit, tablet-style Kindles.
I was a die-hard physical book only kind of girl but I’m not in love with my kindle! I’m loving the Outlander book series!
Thanks for the ideas!! Love the after bloopers 😂😂
I’ll have to add the glue pen to my wishlist. I luv your craft tools videos, they are very informative & help me add to my craft stash!
I’m a book person, and haven’t stopped reading since I was a kid. Always reading multiple books at once, something for fun & something to learn. 😊 I prefer the feel and smell of a soft cover book. Plus, I don’t have to charge it, worry about it being damaged , or get eye fatigue. Vintage books are one of my favorite things to collect and add to my personal library.
Hi Courtney, I love both kindle and "real" books. And I read both all the time. Thanks for sharing all your finds.
I love the Affresh, too! Great haul with great tools and ideas! As always, Courtney, thank you for sharing your ideas with us! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
I've been a Kindle user for at least 10 years--absolutely love mine. Plus I don't disturb my hubby while turning the pages of a regular book when I'm reading before bed. 😊
The Hardest Peace is AMAZING! Also, Indivisible! Indivisible has a movie out. Thanks,! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
Courtney, love your videos. I needed a laugh and the end of this one did it. Thank you!!
About 2 years ago I turned my spare bedroom into a craft room and I had a family member gift my 3 of the 3X3 storage cubbies. Well about 6 months later I bought a 4th 3X3 cubby storage and i put them end to end to make a huge square, I put 2 2X3 cheap $5 Below stoarge shelves in the middle ( i can access them thru the opens in the back of some of the cubbies). Anyways I and put 1/2 a sheet of plywood on top of the square and now i have a 4'X4' desk in the middle of my packed craft room.
Love your next eclipse glasses 😂😂😂
I love my Kindle. Mine was so old, I couldn’t load anymore books. So, I bought a new light weight one! I love the Wonky Inn books. I still love to read a regular book. TY Courtney!
I, too, am a Kindle reader. I like that I can increase the size of the font so I can read easier as I have vision issues.
I love the bloopers at the end!! They all were so funny. I have that hot glue pen but I haven't used it yet. I love that paper cutter with the different cutting blades!! Thanks for all the wonderful ids you shared with us all. Take care and God Bless y'all always
Bust it out! I am loving the paper cutter!
These are great recommendations and definitely a book reader, and you are a hoot, keep being you. LOL. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏
Courtney, I really enjoyed your blooper. Thank you for sharing all these great items.
You are so welcome!
OMG I love your bloopers!!! Great song choices… I love Alanis Morissette and then Another one bites the dust😜🤣🤣!!
That glue pen sounds great & so does the paper cutter.
Girl I hate to fold sheets, I wad them up & just chuck them right in the closet too lol.🤣
Really great ideas. Born in the Air Force I fold my sheets. I have used those Affresh washer and dishwasher tablets and I loved them too. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed evening. 😘❤️🤗🙏🏻 Lisa
I love your out takes and cute bloopers! 😂❤
I love audio books. They are awesome. Also, I wad my sheets up too but I store them in their pillowcase. Works great 😊.
That's a great idea!
I don''t have a Kindle but do have an ereader, I love it. I love being able to have multiple books on it. I just told someone the other day how if I can't get it on my reader I probably won't read the book. It's much easier to carry around than a stack of books.
I read books on my iPad through the kindle app. But I also love “real” books. When I’m traveling I love to listen to audiobooks with Audible. So basically, books in any form!
I LOVE my Kindle! I was anti e-reader for years, traveling with a bunch of paperbacks. I have downloaded at least 500 books since getting it. Amazon offers hundreds of free ebooks. I rarely pay for any books. And I always fold my sheets! Girl, it's not hard.
Love the Gummy Bear coasters! ❤
Love the Kindle! You can download books for free from the library. Read Robyn Carr the Virgin River series.
Thank you!
I'm a kindle girl! I've had a kindle unlimited subscription for almost 8 years. I'm also disabled and don't drive and can read 4 to 5 books a week. A couple of my faves are Clive Cussler and James Rollins, although they are not in KU
Love the kindle. I have moved to audible books so I can quilt and craft at the same. TFS
I have started doing audible books when I craft as well!
I bough that hot glue pen a couple of months ago and just LOVE it!
I am loving it! I find myself grabbing it very often!
Kindle for sure. I like Linda Ford books, The Halverson Series by Kimberly Rae Jordan... and a ton more books. We owned a Christian Book Store for several years so I have also read the paper books too, but Kindle is my favorite.
I became a Nook owner (also a Kindle app on my Nook...just in case 😊) when I was moving and donated 300 books for the 3rd time!!! I love my Nook. Until recently, I had 1100+ books on it but decided to declutter and get rid of books I'll no longer read, don't like, or can't finish. Down to about 725 now. I miss books but, as I've gotten older I realize how much easier it is to read my Nook. I can increase the font size, add brightness (especially in the sun) and it's easier on my eyes. #Nook4Ever
Recommendations: JR Ward, Ilona Andrews, Lydia Hawke, Keri Arthur, Nora Roberts, JD Robb, Jayne Ann Krents, Rachel Hanna, Mia Kent...and so many more!
Love Kindle. The light is what sold me. I’m 68 and it’s hard to see without good lighting. I read Christian literature and here are some authors you might enjoy Mary Connealy, Sophie’s Daughters, funny and great! Montana Marriages Trilogy. Lynnette Eason, Christy Barritt, Lori Wick.
I love books but I have had a kindle for years. I don't have a lot of room for books, so the kindle works well. I do keep special books, like crafting or series of books that I will read over. I just need to have some books around.
I've had my Kindle for years and love it.
I've been really happy with Expressions Vinyl
I just found the pen glue gun to and the long glue sticks 👏🏼🧚🏻🧚🏻
Just finished a YA series I loved. The inheritance games, I also love anything by Lisa Jewel. I listen to books, use my kindle and regular books. I usually have a book on tape and a reading book going at the same time
Because I'm a sheet roll up too. Here's a hack for you.Take your pillowcase Roll up your sheets.😮 And put him in the pillow case and then fold the Top of the pillowcase over. And there you have your neat folded cheats in a nice square.
Love, love my kindle! My favorite has been Amish Romance novels.
The paper cutter looks super cool as I can't cut a straight line to save my life😂
Books!! But sometimes, audiobooks
One of my favorite books is Falling by TJ Newman
😂❤ at those bloopers!
You made me laugh. Yes, I'm an old fashioned book girl. I agree with all the things you said. I'm not totally against the kindle, main feature I like is you can carry more reading material around easier. How long does it hold a charge? What if you're at the beach and it dies and you can't charge it right away? How about if the power goes out? I know mute point. Another reason I like books (at least ones I actually own, is I can make notes in the margins.😁. As far as the stone bath mats go, Sutera is the way to go. I have one and it works wonderfully. It's one piece and does not slide and dries almost instently.
Thanks for all your wonderful inspiration.
I loved this video. Thanks for sharing.
Love the bloopers! #real life
I am a book reader. A Kindle doesn't have
the old page scent that I love.
I totally get that!
Book page turned all the way
Great video! Very helpful
Love the ending. I like it when you keep it real. I loved all your suggestions.
Love watching ya
I’m a sheet folder. But I’ve always folded my sheet sets and then I put the set in one of the pillow cases that is of that set this keeps my linen closet somewhat organized but I think if I get those collapsing boxes and folding them I’d be able to get a few sets in one cutting down on the stacks of stuffed pillow cases. Lol. Thanks again for another great tips video.
Your hilarious! ❤
I LOVE my kindle. Books , you need to read “gone with the wind”. It goes into more detail. Read the Outlander series.
The last item I like to try. I've been rolling my sheets in a ball, too. I need to organize both of my linen closets. They are horrible!
There was a lot of fun items in this! I loved this video, Courtney! Fab, fit fun was super fun for a time for me. Loved it! Hit me up if you need self tanning tips, I'm a redheaded pro! LOL
❤❤❤❤ my kindle!!
Nice things ♥️
As for your sheets well I have folding sheets to but I try my best then stuff it all into one of the matching pillow cases. It makes it look neater and you can see right away which set your looking for.
Great idea!
Listen, the ideas and suggestions are amazing! BUT the bloopers at the end!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh I love love love!!!!! ❤❤❤
i do both kindle and books. just finished run rose run by James Patterson and Dolly Parton, loved it. thank you for sharing going to amazon now😁
I have a pen glue gun, but it's a different brand that I was gifted I don't care for it though. I am a die hard book in hand reader, but I do have the Kindle app on my phone along with 3 library apps, so I can read if I am somewhere and I have to wait for some reason, very handy. The library apps are really handy if I find I'm missing a book in a series. That paper cutter looks really handy.
Book recommendation …. Check out the Bellingwood series by Diane Greenwood Muir. There are over 30 books & vignettes in her series with about 3-4 added each year. They are easy to read & a great combination of mystery and family friendly books.
I read Kindle books on my iPad. I signed up for kindle unlimited and found several series I enjoy that I can read for free (with my monthly subscription).
I am a reader...any where, any time, any how!!! LOVE my books, I do have a kindle. Was crazy about it for a while but found myself still enjoying my books. LOVE going to the bookstore, etc. All that to say, I prefer a book but read on my kindle as well (for convenience or lighting some times, etc.) What genre & or author do you like & I can probably rattle a list off 😂. Also, I NEED that glue pen & paper cutter 🤔. Yeah, need...js. Thank you, I always like your reviews.
I'm definitely an eReader person. I'm not sure what genre of books you like but I'm reading Leslie Meier's Lucy Stone Series (cozy mysteries). Also, anything by Mary Higgins Clark or James Patterson is good too.
I use both my Kindle and both book
Omg!! You are hilarious!!
Hello Courtney, I am a die hard book reader. I have a kindle, and I hate reading from that. Once in a while I MAY(still I read better) listen to audio books. But that again is iffy. I have gotten my love of books from my grandma(Nanny we called her).
You have to try books by Richard Paul Evans. I’m addicted! Enjoy!!!😊
I LOVE my Surebonder glue pen!!!! Best thing ever!!!!
