WHEREAS she once drank 3,500 calorie milkshakes through a funnel to intentionally gain weight, new mum Monica Riley has now swapped funnel feeds for bottle feeds. Dining out on up to 10,000 calories a day, Monica Riley, 29, of Fort Worth, Texas, dreamed of being the fattest woman in the world and of being “immobile”. She ballooned to over 700lbs and set her sights on becoming so large that she would be bedbound, but the 29-year-old decided to change her life - and her body - after discovering she was pregnant in March 2017. Determined to ensure a healthy pregnancy after two previous miscarriages, Monica dropped to 520lbs through healthy eating and gentle exercise, and gave birth to baby Michelle in October 2017 by C-section. Though Michelle initially had trouble breathing and had to be kept in hospital for observation for six weeks due to reflex and four small holes in her heart, she is now back home with her besotted parents, and Monica is now planning gastric bypass surgery in a bid to lose even more weight.

Not really when i was pregnant i had "morning sickness" the whole 9 months .I was 125 when i got pregnant and 160 when i birthed my baby .A week after i weighed myself and i was 128 so i only gained 3 pounds all because i was Soooo sick all the time it was horrible

What a lovely little girl. I know from previous videos that Monica wanted to have a child, but miscarried two or three times. Being immobile would have destroyed her body AND mind: staring at the same four walls, having a bed and regime designed for a chronically sick person, and having a messed-up dynamic to the relationship with Sid. Now she has a family to live for. She's lost over 200 lbs. in about a year; that is incredible progress. I'm very happy for Monica.

Well, I am sorry, I am not putting anyone down, but am just being realistic, from 700 to 450 is great progress, but having kids at 450 is still something where you are not able to be a parent like you should be, you can barely deal with yourself and all that weight let alone care and rare children.

My son has holes in his heart. Hes 3 now and is recovering from his 2nd open heart surgery ♡ next step is a transplant. It's definitely scary. I'm proud of her for losing weird to be healthier for her little girl!

Best of luck to you, your child and your family. My nephew recently had surgery but, nothing so significant other than a penis deformity. I hope everything goes well for your child, that is *very* scary. It'll all be okay. My eldest brother had holes in his heart and is currently 30 with a 7 month old baby boy. Just love your baby and imagine him old, happy, married and with babies of his own. Find your own inner strength for him and be strong for the both of you. All of the positive wishes.

We all know the real reason she “wanted to get fatter” is because she didn’t believe that she could lose weight. She had no motivation or faith in herself and already felt she was to far gone so she just wanted to go all the way. She was rock bottom. This “I want to be the fattest women and I want to be immobile” facade was to give her overeating purpose. I hope that baby of hers encourages her to get down to being super healthy and to have a healthy lifestyle.

I’m honestly proud of her she’s making an effort to loose weight and she’s already lost so much in just a year. Most obese people would just say “whatever” and force that kid to have to live with a morbidly obese, immobile parent but she actually wants to change for her child and tbh I think she deserves more credit for that

I think that he may have some stuff to work through with insecurity. If the person you love literally can not live without you and can not get up and leave you, the unhealthy co-dependence becomes obsessive, toxic security on his part. It will be interesting to see what happens if she does get healthy, loses a good amount of weight and becomes much more independent.

"Its comfortable for me to be the fat girl" - this speaks for my theory. if we look at these clips you don't see her having hobbies or talking about them. So what defines her as a person? Being fat. So what would she be without it? Nothing.

I can relate. I was 66lbs anorexic, doing nothing else but working out and studying, but I was forced to go to rehab and they got my up to 130lbs and now I am nothing. I am working on losing the weight and finding my identity again.

I was almost 300 lbs and lost 100 in a year with simply counting calories (no exercise). It's really not that hard.
The fatter you are the easier it is to drop copious amounts of weight, I speak from experience lol

Meya White - This is really true. I've lost a majority of the weight I need to lose, and now I'm totally dreading actually exercising to get the rest off and tone up my body. It needs to be done, though. On the plus side, at least I don't have to carry all that weight around while I'm doing it.

That poor child is screwed.
And the dad is a feeder and encouraged her weight gain by shoveling food down a funnel into her mouth. Poor child.
These people have no self esteem. So they have to find purpose in something because they’re so simple-minded. Luckily, a child is a very beautiful thing and hopefully they continue to be devoted parents.

At least she's able to lose more weight than me. I'm 285lbs and have a bunch of health problems and no medical insurance that makes it almost impossible for me. However, I try to eat healthy, exercise and do whatever I can to help my situation.

Why is it that i'm legit half her size (i have pcos and depression, it isn't good for weight) and cant conceive "because of my weight" (as my DR says) but this woman can?

True, i wrote this just after getting another negative pregnancy test after 8 months ttc and my lady days being 12 days late. i feel bad for being so negative now.
Victeoiria Lupin if there is one thing I will say never feel bad I also have pcos it took me 7 years to conceive my daughter with many losses most.recent was my son in 2017 I will say don't give up and keep trying research and see what natural.things you can try also get a new Dr good luck

Don’t be completely discouraged! I’ve known 7 people who were “too heavy to conceive” and 1 who was “too thin” and they all have kids. Doctors can be wrong.

Not eating it as much is what she means. You can't go from eating it every day multiple times to completely stopping within a short amount of time.

Kaalyn - OPG Yeah cause that aspartame is so much better than sugar. Being healthy mostly depends on what you put in your body not how many calories you consume.
Hopefully she continues on a happy healthy road with her daughter and husband. It seems like she’s a lot happier now and has motivation to be better for her baby. Glad to see her doing well :)
