  • Lets build a Fuzz pedal from a kit that only cost £11.99
As a first time pedal build, lets see how hard it is and whether it even works when its done.
This is a very simple pedal based on the iconic Fuzz Face.
    It was purchased on eBay.
Thanks to Bensound.com for the funky music

Hey I'm the seller of this kit on ebay, this is a fantastic review, I know the kit is not perfect as far as the instructions go, for example I'm using a photo showing a red box capacitor and the kit now has a grey one, but it is a home made kit and the important thing is I have done the best I can to make it easy to follow and the parts are high quality, for example Neutrik sockets, panasonic capacitors, Alpha pots. It's so nice to see the kit being reviewed. I sell hundreds of these a year and I would say 90% or more of people have no issues building them. I gave one to my mum who is a pensioner to build as a test and she managed it, I think she mixed up 2 of the resistors but after they were placed correctly it worked ok. So its never going to be that 100% of people will succeed 1st time but it's not a bad kit to start with, and it is a genuine 1970s style Fuzz that is used on a lot of classic recording. Also as you say the price is good, I see some people selling kits for double the price and I don't agree with that, I make a bit of money on them and it's enough for me, the more fuzz being used out in the world the better! Thanks again!

Do you know where I can get the instructions from because I lost mine?

Hi guys, I bought this same kit on 2020, but haven't started build it yet 🤣😅😅By the way... Last week I was in Germany and I found the perfect box for it: Niederegger Marzipan Taler Smiley. It's a marzipan cake boxed in a yellow round and sturdy tin box, with a smiley face printed on it (like the emoticon 😀), you can check it on internet. So finally I'm ready to build it, I'll call it MarziFuzz. I'm gonna post some pics or videos somewhere someday...😅Hope this suggestion could be helpfull. Thanks and bye!

Nice :) I thought about biscuit tins made to look like London Buses, similar idea.

Hi. I've just brought this kit from you and I'm looking forward to having a go. I'm just wondering what would I have to change in the circuit so that I could use pnp germanium transistors? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not completely sure if you can use the same board, you would probably need to use a new piece of stripboard and find a layout for the PNP version, all the components are the same though except in the classic PNP design uses a 470ohm resistor in place of the 330ohm.
