for some reason i kept on digging around using this sling. for some reason the right sling for me was one made by tomtoc.
The Tomtoc sling is definitely a great option as well, and it's understandable that no single bag is a perfect fit for everyone. I'm glad at least you found the right bag for you 😁

I love the durability of X-Pac (all my bags from Alpaka have it). But I also find having the orange interior does help a lot when digging into my bag to look for things. The X-Pac will have more structure, and the Kodra material of the standard bag will feel more like fabric.

Hi Jay! The biggest differences I can see from the 3 to the 2 are the internal organization has been re-tweaked for better internal organization (has a slot for a Switch, water bottle etc.) The key clip is improved too. There's also an upgraded Fidlock magnet fastener now over the traditional snap buckles.
Though I believe the Aer Day Sling 2 is discontinued. I hope that helps!
can you extend this to your hip or does the sling to extend that far?
Hi Guro! This may be a height dependent thing, but for me I'm able to extend the strap down long enough so I can have the bag at my side like a messenger style.

Hi GDog, If the headphones can collapse down in a similar shape like the Sony WH1000XM3, then yes it can fit inside the main compartment of the sling along with your EDC.

i bought the bag after this review but after receiving it, i really dislike how the zippers tabs make so much noise against itself (e.g. clink, clank). any tips on how to suppress the noise?

I had a chance to measure the interior and unfortunately it looks like the A5 memobottle is just a tad too big if you plan to zip up the bag with the bottle inside. However if you're okay with leaving the bag open and the bottle sticking out a bit, it'll work. Hope that helps! 🙂
I have a sony a6100 with a spare lens. Do you think its padded enough and big enough to carry those items for day trips?

It would depend on the lens you plan to bring, but personally I feel the sling is padded enough to carry/protect your gear on day trips. The A6100 shouldn't be a problem either. I myself bring my Fujifilm XT-2 with a 24mm prime.

Great lenses! I believe they will fit just fine. Of course, the sling will bulge quite a bit. Alternatively, you can consider the Bravo X Sling if you want something with a bit more space. for your gear.

Hi @vinmatu! Honestly I love both bags, but they serve different purposes for me. The Go Sling Mini is for my quick trips or days where I want to carry light, whereas I use my Bravo sling for days where I will be running around more and need the extra storage.
Overall though, I do tend to lean more on the Go Sling Mini. Hope that helps! 🙏
Does it fit for folded umbrella?
Hi there! I could only get a standard folding umbrella to fit by having it stick out a little and zipping it closed until it hits the handle. Alternatively, you can consider having it hang off the sling with a carabiner or clip. I hope that helps!

I am looking at getting one of these and will be travelling to Europe. I am wondering if there is any concern with the release buckle being in your mid back? It also looks like it can be pulled to open.
Hi Timothy! One advantage to Fidlock buckles is they have to pulled a certain way/direction to detach it. While Fidlock magnet buckles are definitely convenient, someone who is familiar with them may be able to take advantage of its ease of use.

Do you know if this will fit iPad Pro 11”?

While I don't have an iPad pro 11" with me to test fit, based on the specs it looks it will "fit" but without being able to close the bag, so if you're okay with it sticking out then technically it will work, but I would not recommend it. I can recommend the Bravo X Sling V2 as an alternative as it does fit an iPad Pro 11".

It's way too thin to be of any real use. There is no give to let it expand. I feel this is a general problem with all alpaka products.
It really comes down to what you’re carrying. For me I’m able to fit my daily essentials just fine with some space to spare, but if you’re going for a heavier carry I can see how space can be an issue. I do hope Alpaka comes out with some expandable bags in the future though for some extra versatility!

Hi there! While I don't have an OLED version myself to test, based on the official measurements from Nintendo, I don't see it being an issue as it is only a 0.12 inches difference in terms of width.

Buckles in the middle on the front of your chest or the middle of your back is uncomfortable.
I feel that they shld make sling bags with buckles at the end of the straps, near the bag, so no matter how you wear them, its not in the way.

For a barely bigger bag with barely better quality depending on your lifestyle for 2x the price that’s a big negative. Agree to disagree lmao
@@DC-pi5ed I couldn’t find the bag I bought from them like 3yrs ago it used be called “Stutter sling” was only 79.99 the same price as this bag I think there was a couple that showed the same or slightly more on Alpaka’s side. Their ballistic nylon is some of the best only thing I’ve seen better is from the military store gear bag at double the price.
The only thing I don’t like about Waterfield Desigs is their inconsistent offerings. They always have new bags and products but wait too long and they will discontinue their older products. It’s both the strength and weakness of this brand in my opinion.
