Tip for Aspiring actors/actresses
Don’t always remember lines in your head they way you want it to be. Read them out loud normally so you can deliver in any way possible. If you memorise it a certain way, that will be your only way you’re saying it. You cannot alter the emotion or tone, it’s just going to sound they way you wanted it to be.
Basically just remember your lines in a real monotone like voice
@@goldensilence5841 I’d say be familiar with the lines but don’t have them like FULLY memorised or direction will be hard
Lara B Thats bad advice. You want to be so off book that the lines come to you effortlessly. That way you are free to take the scene anywhere you like on the fly

I have always wanted to start acting but didn't know how to start. last night, I had an allergic reaction and had to go to the ER because I couldn't breathe. I decided that life is to short for me to keep saying I will do it tomorrow your channel has helped me a lot with learning how to act and I just want to say thank you. :)

@@haniyachauhdury2017 I have been asking for a few years now so here's what I learned: try to convince whatever parent has more "Power" first. Make a list of pros to acting and cons but with the cons make them have something about them that is good about that con and turn it around. And ask to take acting lessons to see if it's something you really wanna do. Acting Comedy studio has really good classes that i'm taking. Also show your parents that you are passionate about it. And if they still keep saying no, watch acting videos online and learn that way and keep asking,don't give up! luckily, the good news is that when you turn 18 your parents have no control over if you do it or not soo that's a plus!

Break Down of Script
1. Print Script
2. Highlight your characters name and dialogue
3. Underline scene notes about your specific character
4. Circle action notes
5. Make notes of any arc changes (mood changes)
6. Write out priorities in the scene
7. Read it over and hear what's in your head.. make notes of body language, mood changes, eye changes.. etc

I was praticting with makayla as she did the script and i felt this sudden wave of energy expand my senses and it made me realise of how much i want to become an actress. I didnt think i could do this before but now i believe that i can. I wont know what im capable of unless i try so thank you makayla. I know this industry is hard to get into , thousands of us want this and want to make it into a professional carrer but listen up. If you want this, do it ,live life without regrets and work for what you love. There will always be failures but the fact is that you try. Trying is all it takes to reach somewhere. I hope i can get to act with yall one day and maybe even become good friends. Cant wait to see you guys up their on the big screen. Cheering u on!

I literally got the courage to ask my parents to let me do acting. For now just voice acting bc I have bad asthma (and it’s COVID) my mom said she’ll look into back stage and my dad said whatever I want to do they’ll support me. I’m so excited 😆 thanks Makayla!

I printed out and broke down the script with Denise and Jack. I memorized my lines and then performed it in front of my mom and dad. It was my first time performing my acting in front of ANYONE instead of just doing scenes by myself and in my head. Anyways, they said I did really good! (And they’re the type of people to tell me if I did poorly lol) Thank you Makayla for providing an opportunity for me to show my potential to someone!

I’m so excited to have found your channel it’s so informative! Growing up I’d always wanted to be an actor but gave up around my 20s in college. It didn’t seem doable especially considering I was broke. I’m 26 now and decided to go for it again because my current job gives me the flexibility to go to auditions and sets. I signed up for backstage earlier in the year and have had a few virtual auditions as well and even booked two things so far!
