Jamie that was such a wonderful testimony. We have similar childhoods, and struggles. I too relapsed 6 months ago after being sober one year. The very next day after my year of sobriety. I found a bottle at the bottom of my freezer. Going to start Celbrate Recovery tomorrow night.. Your testimony is stronger because of you overcoming after your relapse. It shows you are human, and that you are overcoming by the blood of the lamb. Rev. 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." I tried to justify that one drink. That it wouldn't hurt me. Then spiraled even worse for 6 months. I know that I cannot ever drink again. One day at a time. I still have a long road ahead. Starting over, but with a lottle more experience, that I will try to learn from. Thank you so much for sharing. You will be in my prayers. So proud of you. Those who are forgiving much, love much.

Hallelujah we thank you Father for this amazing testimony, I recognize that our pain is truly his gain and to feel grateful that he's allowed us to live through that pain. I tell you sister my testimony is very similar, I was delivered from the pit of hell and Papa God spared me from 20 years in prison and I'm so grateful we are warriors in Christ put on the full armor of God. I was exposed to celebrate recovery 11 years ago and I entered into the program because I was hungry and angry or should I say pissed off and through the love of Jesus and being baptized and dying to self (Pride & Arrogance) and being resurrected with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior as one... we carry the DNA of Jesus Christ...your testimony is absolutely beautiful and will touch and has touched so many, keep your eyes on Jesus in your hands on the plow sister and praise me to God.
This message is for Jeff . I have a 7th grade education joined boxing from 9-16 years old i was never picked on cause i was golden glove champion for 4 years. As i got older the more and more i needed Jesus i lost a girlfriend i was the only survivor my lady friend died her last words was i love you she never said that before. Lost alot of fallen biker brothers but i turned my colors. Lost my mom Christmas Eve and my dad two weeks before that. I never knew what happiness was till i met my wife shes the greatest

Excellent. I was delivered by Jesus from decades of hard drinking over a dozen years ago. Since then I have felt like the man in Acts 3:8 - "Walking, leaping & praising God"!!!

Great testimony, thank you for sharing and answering his call.
As a trauma survivor and a child of God I believe we need to reach out to the experts/practitioners of trauma and how it affects our brains pathophysiology. If not we risk being dry ‘trauma’ survivors similar to being a dry drunk.
Recommend the book ‘body keeps the score’, and pray that we all accept the help for our brains from medical practitioners just as we would for any other organ that is ‘ill’.

My God! What an AMAZING testimony! I thought I had some wreckage/baggage...but you definitely got me beat! I say that in love, in that, your turn around is simply astonishing! If you can do it, I can too! Thanks so much for your story:-)
At least theres a grave you can visit... and losing a parent is easier than losing your 24 yr old brother to suicide... we couldn't afford a grave so my mom has his ashes... loved this story! Makes me feel less alone... alcohol is the demon I deal with especially after losing my best friend/baby brother in january this year... the night I got the call plays over and over in my head...
