I salute your granny who can still speak Hainanese.By the way ,I have eaten the chicken blood in the 70s in Singapore before it was banned for consumption.Whenever I was in Yaowarat,I love to eat pig blood and chicken blood which I missed in Singapore.For your info,I love to eat chicken rice with freshly grind ginger without mixing with chicken oil and with high grade black soya sauce added to the ginger.

I have tried Singapore Woon Toong Kee Chicken rice. And the Thai chicken rice. It's has its own good taste. The Thai is less oily.

i just like to let you know....hainan has no hainan chicken..you go there and discover.
Condiments for Singapore chicken rice he is missing the dark sauce. Everything else looks correct.

Chicken rice in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia is all about everything except the chicken. Delicious rice and sauces. But the chicken is usually poor quality. Not once did they mention the flavour of the chicken. Just the texture. I’m sorry the 2.7kg chickens he uses are tasteless, like American chicken bred for maximum meat no flavour. The Cantonese make the best chicken rice because we have the best chickens! 😂 If you’ve ever eaten a Three Yellow Chicken then you know!
