First swing tune I learned to play on piano, and that man playing the key's does it like it hits me straight in the heart. Beautiful trumpet solo. Rita's singing, just right. PS: Also the first trombone solo I ever played in public.

Otra muestra del enorme talento de Rita Payés cantando cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con el Jazz. Sentimiento, expresividad, buen gusto. Este vez se atreve con esta bellísima canción de Chauliac / Trenet ... y en francés, nada menos. A Rita la he escuchado cantar en cientos de videos, en español, inglés, portugués y catalán, pero en francés es la primera vez. Y ya van 5 idiomas distintos. Y todo sin cumplir por aquel entonces los 18 años. Alucinante.
Y como siempre por aquella época (antes de pasarse a otros muchos estilos y músicas, para acabar ahora en el grupo de un rapero reguetonero), Rita iba sobrada de talento, sentimiento, expresividad, gusto, intensidad ... O sea, todo lo que necesita el Jazz. Lo de la dicción y pronunciación siempre ha sido secundario en esta música.
Destacar también a otros dos monstruos creados en la factoría Chamorro: Jan Doménech al piano y Joan Mar Sauqué a la trompeta, fantásticos solos. Y Chamorro, Carla y Joan-Aleix bordando el acompañamiento rítmico. (Pena que el batería se retirase de la música poco después para dedicarse al periodismo, era muy, muy bueno).

I’ve heard a lot of versions of this song and while the Trenet version is probably still my favorite simply because it’s the first version I heard, this version has the best playing and singing I’ve heard of all of them.

I also like your musicianship on the trombone. - When I was young in the 1950s, I tried to learn how to play the trombone, but I have never mastered it.
