- These ore trains originate at the Cleveland Cliffs mine at Koolyanobbing on the Perth-Kalgoorlie main and then head south at Kalgoorlie for the port of Esperance on the south coast of Western Australia. Locos are GE C44aci and Clyde/EMD GT46C models built in Australia.
ARG was a subsidiary of QR National which has changed its name to Aurizon. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Nice stuff, some very nice shots and good to see the sun came out after a bit of perseverance.
Wow QR has its fingers in many pies ,Love the EMDs !
Awesome content - Subbed!
Great video. Loved seeing the trains going through that big dip. And the locos sounded good for being GEs.
Looks like a much improved SG track since the Flying Scotsman went down there in 1988/9.. great video, by the way.
it is always cool to watch how the real world does it,, see if we all can mimik that on our model rr.
I don't know about anything else, but Koolyanobbing has to be the place name of the month. Doesn't it sound like a choice Australian epithet. "Strewth, koolyanobbing will ya."
AndreiTupolev we have funny place names here for sure! Bet you have too. Lol.
Salmon Gums is another funny named place along there. A good drive from Esperance to Norseman.
there are Emd,s as well
Geo 46 yes, my mistake, description corrected accordingly. Thanks
What class of wagons does aurizon run here?
The smooth sided wagons are WOE. Not sure of the class of the ribbed sided ones.
The ribbed ones were a mix of WO, WOC and maybe WOD too. They have all since been removed from service. The remaining ore wagons are the WOE seen in this video, and the newer MHPY belly dumpers
@@ChrisMcMullen1986 thanks for the explanation. Not being local, it's hard to find that info on the web.
@@ChrisMcMullen1986 Thank you! Im on the hunt for drawings of things like the MHPY. People like to ask me to make them for games but I need drawings to make 3d models. xD
