    Jaco Peyper may be Rassie’s best appointment. Clearly explaining the refereeing process and refuting the click-baity questions without throwing shade or partisanship!

      Wait, did you think for a second that he was going criticise his former work mates about decisions that favoured his current employer? I’ve never known Jaco to be stupid as f. Part of his explanation was that we got away with it in Dublin but not South Africa and then says we follow the process. If South Africa scored James Lowes try in the exact same manner and it was turned over by ‘those interpretations’ of what happened, you guys would be singing a different tune. Click baity questions. More like valid questions. Also the TMO had 2 angles of Lowes touch not 8 like he says. The angle looking directly down the pitch was obscured by a ball boy or a sub. And the other more conclusive angle that looked up the line, for some reason was either not looking at the game or was played from a point that the camera was turning infield and the footage and was missed. So he is not being truthful on that one either even though on balance I think Lowe was ever so marginally in touch. We would not be complaining much about that other than some actual conclusive footage would have ended the argument and that wasn’t available or presented.

      @@aidanmasterson50your rant aside, he might still be the best appointment. Time will tell. To have his input in a team to better understand the rules and enforce a level of respect to officials is important. At this rate of innovation from Rassie's coaching and with no one else following quick enough.. it will be 3 in a row come 2027!

    • @patrickhorgan8389
      @patrickhorgan8389 Před 12 dny +1

      @hennocronje7689 he's made some good points and his view is as valid as anyone's. I always found Jaco a good referee. But turning quality referees into Rassy stooges is not good for the game.

    • @hennocronje7689
      @hennocronje7689 Před 12 dny

      @@patrickhorgan8389 what are you on about validating anyones views here.. we all have different opinions which you either agree or don't agree with. I don't agree with yours about Jaco being Rassies Stooge. I think he will only add another layer of respect towards referees and better a back 2 back rwc winning team. Something that other teams will probably also start doing soon, since world rugby keep on overcomplicating rules.. But what does it matter anyways? I think Rassie can do just as he pleases aiming for a 3rd RWC in a row... lol, and how exactly is it not good for the game? Maybe not for you, but sure as he'll is for the springboks. Jeez, the whining...

    Please don't try to turn us into the All Blacks? We are the Springboks, our boys won 4 World Cups playing Springbok rugby. Alistair Coetzee wanted our Boks to change the way they play, you know, "running, attractive rugby". Look how that worked out. I don't think Tony Brown is the right fit for the Boks.
