Woohoo! We're headed to Walt Disney World! I cannot wait for our upcoming trip and today I'm packing! What kind of packer are you? An over-packer like me (yes, it's overkill) or a last minute throw it all in the suitcase person like my husband (insert eye roll here;).
Jen Lefforge I try to be an organized packer. But I never quite pull it off lol.
Definitely an overpacker and I also like to bring a bigger bag just because I know I’ll end up bringing souvenirs home. My husband can pack 20 outfits in a backpack haha- I’m checking a bag along with a carry on suitcase. Oops!
I need to stop overpacking. Its so easy to just do a load of laundry.
I am so glad someone agrees with me, I NEVER use the drawers in hotels 😝🤢, I live out of my bags when we travel

Thanks for the packing tips, I’m a packing cube/compression pack convert! Never used them before but so much easier to put your clothes straight from your suitcase to the hotel drawer. I always wondered why people bothered to use them and now I know :). Unfortunately I can’t use your affiliate links as Amazon.com won’t deliver to Australia any more and the local Amazon store is a lot smaller but I did manage to get 2 of the Eagle Creek packing folders from a local store ($AUD25 ea), some compression cubes off eBay that look good and a wet pack for our swimmers. Thanks again for the recommendations, always easier when you see it in action. Enjoy yourself at WDW this week.

Ha ha! We are all MagicBand hoarders. Love that the dogs were protecting the house from the UPS guy! Those disposable coffee cups were nice for the few mornings that we were in a hurry and needed to drink our coffee on our way to the bus/monorail. Someday I will let Adrian film me packing so you all can laugh at me. I was extremely organized prior to the kid, but now I always forget something necessary (one time it was my PJs) despite starting the packing process a week out! I’m SO type A and always make lists so I have a Disney list with everything I could possibly need that I use for every trip! Of course as I find new gadgets, that list changes but there are lots of things I always make sure I have! Thanks for sharing the portable fan idea- that’s one thing I’m going to add to my list for this trip!
We just got back and I LOVED it! Both the air circulations and the white noise of it worked perfectly!!
I love jacket part! My family thinks I’m crazy for bringing a jacket in June to Disney but one time we were wet from rain and had dinner reservations. I was freezing! I didn’t enjoy my dinner and couldn’t wait to get back outside.
Right? I cannot enjoy myself if I'm cold and I would rather carry that very lightweight jacket around all day as an insurance policy, even if I never need it! We're the smart ones, Kelly!

But..great lil holder for batteries and memord cards! Gotta look for one of those. And my son will always claim he won't need a poncho neither! I always pack for him cause then he will need it. Yeah the trick is to pack it discretely and not say I told you so when they actually put it on.😬😂I used to FREAK when they barked during filming and start all over but you know what? They are part of my world so we're all just gonna deal. 😜

I am an over packer and a detailed planner for our vacations, whether it is a Disney vacation or another vacation. I pro tip I got from my grandma years ago was to have an empty basket that we will put your travel items in and slowly collect over time so you are not buying them last minute, so I finally bought packing cubes to try for our Disney trip in Sept!
I LOVE that tip! It's why I have a whole section of my closet devoted to packing stuff. I may have taken this advice too far based on how much stuff i have, but I always have what I need! Thanks so much for watching and hurray for packing cubes!

Yay! It's packing day!! Jen, strolling around the Boardwalk early in the morning is so magical. It's so peaceful. Great way to start the day. You'll love it! Also, I found those flat fans and bought two. I've been using them around the house and they're great. Thanks for that tip! I love how organized you are. I know I said that before but it's true. I've become kind of a light packer and for shorter trips manage with just a carry-on. Have a great trip! So excited for you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thanks, Dawn! Just printed out our boarding passes and we actually got Zone 1, which I wasn't expecting, so could have done carry on. Oh well . . I like that I have extra room to bring stuff back;). Ironically, when I go to Paris in September I'm only taking a carry on so why I needed all this room for 5 days in Florida is a bit of a mystery LOL!!! Thanks for the birthday wishes! All that's in between me and the magic is cleaning this house and one more sleep!

The jacket has got to be an Eeyore jacket because he keeps you from becoming an "Eeyore". I also find my early mornings with a cup of coffee at Disney (and everywhere I travel, really) to be the very best. Almost feels like you are getting the place all to yourself for just a few moments.

Just an FYI on a couple of items you packed. They make those portable fans that are USB chargeable. We bought ours on Amazon for very reasonable, like $19! Also, I pack a lightweight jacket too that folds up in a small pouch like yours & I got it at Disney Springs At Uniqlo for like $24! AND it has little Mickey’s all over it, but not obnoxious. Just wanted to pass that info. along you. 😊

We pack on and off for weeks prior to our trips as well. I just hate trying to rush around right before a trip to pack 😊. I actually have a saved Disney packing list on my computer from an older trip. It saves time trying to figure out what I need...I just modify the clothing choices and any extras I might need for that trip.
A lot of times I bring my own coffee as well. I will use the in room coffee but sometimes I just want my normal coffee or they forgot the give us more coffee hehe. I purchased a box of the pods for the coffee makers in non-DVC rooms or take regular filters if we are staying DVC.
Agreed that sitting on the balcony with coffee in the morning is wonderful. I am in no way a morning person but when we stayed at Bay Lake on 1 of our trips that was one of the things I loved the most. We had a theme park view and we watched over MK while enjoying our cofee...it was so relaxing and a great way to start the day!
You know, I almost did that yesterday when I was making my lists. It's pretty much the same stuff every time so wouldn't be hard to do at all. Great idea! Thanks so much for watching!

Our family isn’t DVC (yet!) but we are heading back to WDW in November with my husband, in law’s, 3 year old daughter, and 9 month old son staying at Wilderness Lodge. Good morning... So excited for you and your son! So many great ideas for packing. I am so behind. For our family of four we have 2 suitcases that's it! I borrowed my sisters nice luggage in September but I feel I need to grow and buy more. I have my eye on some Disney luggage but waiting for a sale. My favorite sandals I found and used on our last trip was Crocs if you can believe that. I found a very cute, very comfortable pair great for day or night but what I liked best was you can wash the sandals with soap and water and leave to dry. They look nice and new which I love. I love that black little fan you are bringing. What a great idea for sleep. Where did you buy that? Have a very nice time and can't wait to hear all your fun moments.

And yeah, if we were in a villa with a washer and dryer I would be bringing less but this trip we won't have that and you get stinky in Florida in the summer! LOL! I just kinda throw stuff and always remember what I forgot when I am half way to Orlando (driving), LOL. But I got good tips and will use a couple of your planning methods. Guys only have one pair of shoes, 😂. I feel so out of place here, I love your passion for detail though. New Years Disney trip can’t get here any quicker. Shelley Northrop this is the only larger one I have and it’s ok but I’m not sure how it would up to lots of wear. But it’s been good for a few trips and it wasn’t expensive!
Our last Disney trip killed our feet. We do 5-9 days straight through at the parks from morning until night. Do you use gel inserts in your shoes? Does anyone recommend that? Does it even make a difference? ...and now I need those flips!!!!
I don't BUT I do find that having some shoes to change into to really does make a difference. You must get them! Your feet will be so happy!

- try rolling the dress to keep it from wrinkling
-reformed magic band hoarder here, I did actually take all my first generation bands to the guest services desk at the yatch club and they said they would recycle them (I just hated the thought of throwing them away) now I'm only hoarding Gen 2 MB lol
-put the lactaid with your medication, no one wants to go without mickey pops!
-Lily loves your mickey bag from target (she wanted me to tell you). Lol
-I never thought about hotel draws being gross, and now I do. 🤢uh oh. Adding to list with bedbug check. Lol
LOL! Sorry I added to your list of worries but I don't think they EVER clean the hotel drawers, do you? So one can only imagine, really.😫And yes, there are a few lactaid in the carry on no worries at all - you must be lactose intolerant too so you get it! And I should throw my gen 1 ones in my bag to take back, that's a fantastic idea! Thanks for watching!!

So it isn’t heavy but honestly it sits weird on my back so although I like it as a carry on i don’t use it in the parks anymore
