One of his best pieces of work second to Titanic. “Casper’s lullaby” in my opinion is the most beautiful piece of film score music to ever exist. A highly underrated soundtrack with a beautiful melody that often gets overlooked or overshadowed for his other later high profile works.

Casper's lullaby is a masterpiece. I legit cant describe the feeling i get while im listening to it. It's such a beautiful piece.
A magical and beautiful score. A few years ago, i never think that i was going to be surprised that James Horner created the score for the film. Although he is gone, his work will be remain as a great influence in our lives.
Just makes me feel sad that he passed. This score is a masterpiece. This film and its music will always be part of my childhood. God bless James Horner..

La La Land Records has officially released James Horner’s “Casper” score on 2 CDs. It’s both an expanded and remastered soundtrack. It’s a limited run.

While Horner definitely took influence from Sergei Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf," for Casper's Lullaby, his score to the film was still amazing, full of emotion.

I think I weep for the loss of James almost once or twice a week. The void left in his absence can never truly be filled. I mourn not just the loss of the great man but for all of the unwritten & unrecorded magik we all won't get to hear.. But I am greatful that we have the wealth of his music to cherish in that absence..
With all of the ugliness in the world it just stings so much more when a beautiful flame that illuminated the world flickers out.
We miss you James. The world shines less in your absence but we keep a piece of you in our hearts.

@melissawickersham9912 as a horner fan, I'll shoot straight... it was a bullshit affectation he adopted at the outset of his career. More of a mid-atlantic accent. Elmer Bernstein had a similar affectation. Both are charming and harmless in my opinion. Mostly done for respect and to sound intellectual.
He was born in Los Angeles, but he grew up in London.
@irishandproud7119 his years in London were short. Again, the accent was both an intellectual character affectation and potentially a symptom of Asperger's, which, according to his wife and friends, he was strongly suspected to have. Pretty cool and amusing stuff.
