Effective, classy player. He reminds me of Babayaro. Very comfortable on the ball. Always a good sign when a defender can take a man on. Finidi should get this job full time. He knows his job.
Excellent work by the new No. 5! To me, the guy is a "shoe-in" for that position. He showed so much poise and maturity in the Super Eagles uniform, even though this was his first outing for the National Team. I'm all in for this guy. He reminds me of the old Bendel Insurance Football Club of the 70;s. Smart, resilient, and agile on the ball. Please, make him a permanent feature in this team. He made Alex Iwobi very relaxed, and complimented Wilfred Ndidi very well. I think the Super Eagles played their best, easy, entertaining game so far this year against the Black Stars. Remember, this is Coach Finidi's first game with the Super Eagles. As he gets to study the lads more, and understand their style of play, watch out for this team. The sky is the limit for their progress and confidence. Big Up Super Eagles! Big Up Nigerian Football and Athletics! Peace out!
You hv said all and more than I wanted to say on the new guy and the style of play. Good for us to be able to have plan a,b and even c for players per position and playing pattern. This was like the Eagles of 92 to 94...slow build up from the rear ...fluid midfield and fast attacking with flair in each department. At Civ 2024, we had one pattern of a rigid defensive play and counters anchored by wingbacks and at the most crucial moment, it failed cos there was no plan b. Its time to start going back to what we really are. A team that can defend well but also attack well with skilful players at the back, midfield and attack.
Benjamin Tiamiyu is a very good addition to the Super Eagles defence. Lets see how he would perform against a better opposition such as Mali National Football team. Coach Finidi George must pay greater attention to detail especially the defence and midfield. (We need to be seriously thinking of how to execute the game with Bafana Bafana). They are one of the best team on the continent right now. (There transition and threat upfront needs to be noted).

I just wish they can give Finidi a long term contract with this team. He can make them world beaters.

Kept it simple and played to tactical instructions
He is definitely a great addition to the Super Eagles
A modern center back playing style. Very good on the balll. For a first cap i think this is commendable
Watching Tanimu's clips, I see a very composed player. Does the basics simply. A good option in defense for the Super Eagles in my personal opinion.
For a player and defender to have the position of the ball for almost 5 minutes not even 90 minutes, he did a fantastic job.
Decent debut!
Solid player, kudos to Finidi. No more expatriate coaches please!
It was a decent debut for him.
He seem solid.
Great job Naija bias...
The name is Tanimu instead, the "n" comes before the "m".
Taminu played very well.
If you have the full match, kindly upload it sir
