  • Mike started off his Missouri season with some opening day success! With having to wait until the second week to hunt for his second bird he got the itch to try and use a Decap broadhead for the first time in many years. Being an extremely difficult shot to accomplish on a moving bird this hunt is sure to bring some extreme intensity! You won't want to miss this one!

Nice job Michael. I am the engineer for Mangus and have taken around 50 or so with the Bullhead. You and I had dinner together a few years back when I was hunting with Dave Smith near Emporia, Kansas. Glad to see you having success with our product! If you ever need any assistance please let me know.

Crazy you did it from the ground (no blind) with a bow at 9 yards & he never caught sight of you or the cameraman. Impressive! Nice work guys.

I’ve got that same broadhead, I’m trying it with my traditional setup tomorrow morning!

Great video. It's hard to find good videos of Bowhunting turkeys. Even serious bowhunters often pull out the shotgun when it comes to turkeys. It's a whole new ballgame with a bow, especially without a blind.

First and foremost amazing video. I always love all of your videos. The only question I have is Why did you go through the entire hassel of switching your entire arrow setup and talking about going with 4" feather vanes 4 fletch. Then the arrow you ended up using was just the short vane 3 fletch? What made you switch back to those vanes vs the other vanes. Just curious.

Thanks! I tested the blazer vanes while the other were still drying and didn’t seem to need the added stability with how well the bow was tuned!

Great edit but Im not a fan of the decoys and decap thumbnail for views.. need to respect the bird and the game

We respect the bird and the game a ton. While the decap is somewhat gruesome, it’s an extremely ethical way to archery hunt turkeys with less margin for error than body shots, which is why we were testing it out.

Not impressed, things like this happen when hunting, but I have more appreciation for the animals I hunt especially these majestic birds, this was intentional and not called for

That's the cleanest kill a hunter could possibly make. Is it a little goriey, sure. But what are they supposed to do? Not show the kill shot? Who would want to watch a hunt but not get to see the shot?
I think they did a great job with the edit, they only showed it once, not over and over in super slow-mo.
