To say Sixma's been crushing it lately would be an understatement, and with this release, he further establishes himself as one of the best of the moment.

The classic remixes (Tiesto and Ferry Corsten especially) blew it out of the water, this was just some commercial shit made by pop trance artists.
This its the best remix ever best trance track!

The original Adagio was the slow movement from Barber's String Quartet, composed in the early 1930's. Adagio was simply the tempo indication Barber used to signify the pace at which his piece was to be played. Critics and audience members gave the slow movement a standing ovation at its premier...IN MID-PERFORMANCE. Barber was convinced to score the slow movement for full String orchestra, and, in 1936 THAT version of his original was debuted. The public has embraced it since.

Yes the original melody was composed by Samuel Barber in 1936, and yes William Orbit remastered it in 1999. But Orbit's piece was an ambient piece of music, you won't find a dance beat in this version. The first producer to adapt it into trance music was Ferry Corsten in 1999 using Orbit's remastered version. Tiesto then produced his own remix in 2004, which I think is very different from Ferry's version. I think if you use your ears correctly then you can tell that Mark Sixma has used Tiesto's version has his basis here, and I don't think it sounds a lot different. Tiesto - Adagio For Strings is one of my favourite tunes of all time, I think it is better than Ferry's although I certainly wouldn't complain if Ferry's tune was played at a live event. The original score is just a wonderful melody. All you haters for jumping on Mark Sixma's back for "stealing" someone else's work are crazy. Yes he hasn't changed a lot from Tiesto's version, but when are you ever going to be able to hear the tune at a live event unless you are at a Tiesto set. The answer is never, but with Mark Sixma's update DJs are playing it again, and we get to hear it again. You should be thankful for that!
Tiesto one is the best. For me, it's the greatest trance track of all time ❤️ ferry one is good but not memorable.

To all the people saying that mark has made a remix of tiestos song , if this is you then listen up, there are two tiestos, the old tiesto who was an absolute god! King of trance! On the same level as armin van burren is now! Then there is the other tiesto.... The new tiesto... Mainstream, commercial and just in it for the money.... I wish we could bring the old tiesto back but I think he's to far gone. I think this is marks way of trying to prove that he can become what tiesto once was.... A god!
