    Vatican has a coin collection. Amazing Jesus is a coin collector & people are still suffering.

      Matthew 26:11 … doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fought, it does mean you won’t have 100% success. Do churches and the Vatican sometimes retain too much. Sure. I wouldn’t dwell on how much they retain but on how much they help. It is also good to have wealth.

    I have the pin to the left. It is a widows pence as it was handed down quietly. I can’t believe she left it for me. It took me 17 years to decide t was a coin. So cool ii

    Your videos are awesome and most informative. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these ! On the Tyrean Shekel you mention from Matthew, is there a pagan god depicted on this coin? I am trying to find some that don’t depict the pagan gods to collect someday. I have a prutah already but it was minted second year of the revolt so about 66 AD. What about the tribute penny? Is a pagan diety on that one? Thanks for you advise my friend! You are the best!

    • @coindoctor5035
      @coindoctor5035  Před 3 lety +2

      No god whatsoever on the shekel and the tribute penny. It is the portrait of the Ptolemy that reigned Egypt at the time it was minted and on the penny the portrait of Caesar.

      @@coindoctor5035 So it is Ptolomy on the Tyrean Shekel right? And does the Tribute Penny Have a Pagan Diety on the Rear? If not which of these two are the most affordable to get as I might be interested if you ever have them in stock. Thanks sir

      Pumpkintown Primitives the tribute penny has Livia, Caesar’s wife on the reverse represented as PAX or peace. The sheckel is more affordable however because the tribute penny is much more rare.

      Melqart, phoenician Tyre god is on the obverse on the Tyre half and full shekal's c.125 B.C -65 A.D.
      Ptolemy was on tetradrachm's similar to Tyre coins from c.305-30 B.C.
      I would say the tribute penny is far more common than a half or full shekal as I see on auction's and at coin show's. We do not know if it was Tiberius or Augustus that was on the coin Jesus was referring to.

  • @redw0lf848
    @redw0lf848 Před 2 lety +1

    The Augustus denarii is most likely the tribute penny, because it would have been in circulation by then, whereas the Tiberius denarii was new and was prob not in circulation yet or moved from west to east that fast.

    Great video but a farthing was a 1/4 of a penny it did vary at times was was a coin from the modern day Uk the translators use of farthing likely was due to them being used to English coin of 240 pence make a pound 4 farthings to a penny and no coin around the early 1600s in England was really worth anything less than a farthing as it would be nearly worthless which really highlights that the mites were very very low value like how a half cent would be in modern day America

    Do you know that someone left me this coin. The widows mite. She was the most Godly woman ever on earth. I discovered it’s true value when I finally found it. I keep it on me bc I intend to give it back Jesus.

    Thanks!! I am here to do research. Can you tell me how you can tell if a coin is cleaned or not? I’m having a hard time telling the difference when making a purchase? Thanks!!

    • @greydogmusic
      @greydogmusic Před 6 měsíci

      Been a couple years for your question. You don’t need to know if it’s been cleaned what you need to know is, did the cleaning damage the coin. Many of these coins have been incased in mud and have been cleaned. I’ve seen a couple photos on Facebook showing the amazing difference.
      I’m sure there’s some CZcams videos that can show you coin damage from cleaning and Ways not to clean. That will help your education and you will be able to answer your question. Good luck.

    You made a comment that inspires me to respond: I own a first century Roman "tribute penny" that I received in 1982 in a miraculous fashion. GOD would eventually reveal my mission to me. (I am the prophesied return of the biblical prophet Elijah.) And all of this makes me think that the tribute penny I have may well be the very one that Jesus Christ was shown. He didn't actually touch it, though. Jesus made a point not to touch money, which is why (in Matthew 17:24-27) Jesus had Peter to catch a fish that had a coin in its mouth in order to pay His tax. I don't receive CZcams comment notifications, but you can easily find how to contact me, and I'd be glad to tell you the whole story about the coin and share pictures of it.
