- The issue of migration is divisive and inflammatory for people in the UK. And for those trying to reach our shores, they risk their lives at every move.
Why do people chose to make the dangerous journey? How to they make the difficult crossing? And what kind of welcome do they face on their arrival?
Sky's Ashna Hurynag explains.

In the same way that Afghan people that helped UK and US forces have been abandoned to face the Taliban.

Stop off shore patrolled, they only pick them up to bring ashore. Then the process starts to keep them, feed them sitting them up for life.
The golden question is, Why do they bypass so many safe countries ? The UK an Island surrounded by water, and are powerless to stop this, people are coming from MULITIPLE countries, what will be the consequences of this ? A tiny island overwhelmed, the quality of life is diminishing already because the infrastructure isn't there to cope, and the country is changing beyond recognition at such a rapid pace. It deals with immigration awfully, as witnessed by living here. Mass immigration, both lawful and illegal, affects everyone, not just 'white privileged brexit man'. Generations who came here, settled and assimilated into the culture, whilst maintaining their own. Now we have chaos.

Not very well… I’m born and bred British, English I went traveling and because I had been out the country for more than two years I’m not classified a habitual resident until I’ve been in the UK for an extended period and thus am not afforded the same support as other citizens. Shameful, after this and other stories I’m reading in the media, I have a right to exercise my right to free movement.
My granddaughter and son have. Been told by council. No chance of a place yet they are giving houses to immigrants in her area. She is deliberately not being given a house. The family have lived there for centuries. It would be understandable if she was given a house but no they favour giving houses to people with no connection to the country let alone village. By the way this is the north as usual. Disgusted
