I live here in spring texas since april 1979 but ive seen her sa concert in san diego calif, and also concert here in Houston texas. so ive missed a lot of her SUPERSTAR SHOW and my friend will tape the SUPERSTAR SHOW and send to me here in u.s.a. that time 1979 wala pang mga internet connections or laptop or pc's. she's my idol eversince,the one and only GUY-THE SUPERSTAR!
Nora’s voice is perfect for kundimans and traditional Filipino ballads. Like her acting, her singing conveys emotional depth. Her voice may be somewhat thin and nasal - quite in the traditional Filipino style. But listen to her smotionally not sonically and you’ll understand. An artist I could compare her with is Billie Holiday, the great jazz legend. Billie didn’t have a beautiful voice but she sure sent tears to your eyes. Listening to old Nora recordings in the radio sent the hair in my arms standing on end.
