Vega Trails is a new project from double-bassist and composer Milo Fitzpatrick, a founder member of Portico Quartet and features saxophonist Jordan Smart (Mammal Hands, Sunda Arc) in a richly powerful duo bringing together two powerfully charismatic musicians. The project was born out of a desire to bring the elements of bass and melody to the foreground in their rawest form.

Who needs a drummer when the base player sounds like that
Oftentimes bass is supposed to be percussive. It could've worked well with a drummer, works well without one too. Depends on what you want to convey.

A fantastic duo! Portico Quartet is a bit "too electronic" for my taste, so I'm not as familiar with Milo's music as that of Mammal Hands. Sounds great! Somehow I'm fine with the special effects Jordan is using here :-)
