I thought I was the only who crashed into everyone the wrong way just for fun to see the damages and the impacts. Unfortunately, Toca 2 was more rigid and cars don't fly into the air as much.
honestly I played only toca 2 on psx. but was the game with the best artificial intelligence, ai car setup was different for every track, so you had to carefully study your setup, wings, gearbox setup, etc. strangely afterwards I played the pc version and ia was much easier, really very strange
I remember one of these games having a strange glitch when using analog controls. When you turned one way, the car would max out before it was supposed to, like they didn't calibrate it correctly. I still played the crap out of it though, all while beating up my thumbs on the D pad. I rented it a lot back in the day.
The start of what would become an excellent series. In an era when the damage model is better than modern day Forza, has a cockpit cam that even the more modern NFS games don't have (even though they've had it in the past), has a working pit system that PC3 doesn't have, and you can still have wacky cars and tracks in your super serious sim! (Yeah, I know it's more of a sim-cade.)
