- Turn the ignition key from position "I" to position "II" four times in six seconds, chime sound indicates you are in programming mode. Within 10 seconds press any button on the first remote key, after the chime sound move to the next remote key in ten seconds and do the same untill all remotes are programmed (max 4 remotes) wait ten seconds to terminate programming mode and check the remote keys to see they are operating properly. To note guys, this only pairs the alarm, the new key will not start the car, you need additional pairing for the immobiliser that can only be done at a garage

Does this procedure reprogram just the remote control for door locks or also the “immobiliare” transponder RFID chip?
The local key shop told me to get a 10$ key on Amazon but told me that I can only do by myself the door locks but the I need to fonto his shop. Obviously he will have to do the metal part (10$) but he also told me he will have to program the RFID chip with his machine (50$). Is this true? Is the immobiliser part separate from the door lock part?

Isn't there a story of having to copy the transponder or i dunno what ?
Like if i do what you did, for a 2009 fiesta, and i ask a locksmith to copy the original key and CNC it to the new one, it should work to start the car, open the doors, trunk etc ? Thanks !

Difficult to tell. The original keys must be in good working condition and new key must be compliant with the ECU. Hope this helps...

Hello dear friend, if your car is same with the car in the video most likely it has a remote locking system. You need to know the frequency of your key to buy and programme the correct key to your car. You can go to Ford service or a car key shop they can tell you the frequency or it is also written on the box of GEM module.I have videos about where to find GEM module these videos may help you...

The Fiesta models with remote operation capability has one key with buttons and another without. Did you never have a key with buttons?

I would say you need a working remote to initiate programming.

You are welcome, your car is newer model, keyfob programming might be different. In the user manual there should be description of the key programming process, hope this helps.

I own Fiesta 2007. Currently I have 2 working key (one is fob). Can I program +2 additional unlocking key? Four times from 1-2, first remote unlock and then add +2 more keys? Does that work or I ned 1 by 1 or it is not possible to add so many? I bought 2 keys from Aliexpress (8$ with ID63 40bit)
It may be possible but I would make sure the key fob operating frequency are the same.
What was your problem originally? Did it not want to start? I'm having an issue with the immobiliser where suddenly neither one of the two keys cranks, only have the immob light flashing.
There was no problem, I just programmed a new key (the one in the middle) to my Fiesta. In past, I posted another video for immo (PATS) programming, it might help you, best wishes !

OK, how about this. If I only have non-remote key (the first one in this video) can I program the new remote key that I've bought of the ebay?
I guess the original remote key is lost. At first the frequency of the key you buy from e-bay must match your car GEM module. Any same looking key will not do the job. Usually sellers at e-bay give a list of compatible models and years of the cars. If you can find the key with matching frequency to your car, programming for remote opening the doors is as explained in this video. But for the ignition key to start the car "Passive anti theft system (PATS)" must recognize the new key (there is chip in the key for this function). How to programme for PATS is explained in another video I posted. Unfortunately, as far as I know for PATS programming you need previously programmed at least two keys so you may fail at this stage. I'm a car owner like you and this is my point of view it may not be precise, so I suggest you consult to a professional car locksmith and/or car dealer service before making a final decision.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the help. Sadly I have bought a used Fiesta and the previous owner only gave me one key. Local dealership is asking about 100 euros for a replacement remote key and I thought I could save money by buying universal on eBay. Guess I'll have to cough-up 100 euros after all
You are wllcome. Price of used keys around 30-45 Euros on e-bay with the shipping costs it is around 60 Euros. It's up to you but for 40-50 Euros I woudn't take the risk that it may not work. The dealer has all kinds of computer diagnostic and programming tools to solve your problem and they will give you warranty for the product. Good luck...

Excellent video. I have a 2009 Fiesta that came supplied with one key with remote buttons and one key that has no remote buttons. Can I go to my local key guy, get him to copy my key to a remote buttons key and simply follow your instructions to enable it ? Fantastic if this is the case.
If the correct mHz blank key new or second hand key it should work, It worked for me. The second key in the video I bought from e-bay and it still works since the shooting date of this video. Main risk is you are buying a used key is the seller claims it works but there is no way of testing it untill you try it with your car. I replaced the key battery with as soon as I received the used key to eliminate that failure factor. But the procedure is straigthforward. Don't forget to progranmme to PATS of the car also.

If you are after a 2nd key to start the car you are out of luck. this method only programs the remote. You need a new key cut and programmed buy someone with a dialogist module to plug into the car so they can read the immobilizer code. Then will program a new key on a separate machine.

Does it have an immobilizer chip or any kind of electronic chip, circuit in it? If not, probably you can only "manually" open the door and liftgate with it...

I’ve just bought the fiesta 2003 model, it’s only coming with the key that you have to put in the door to unlock it. Do you know if my car will support keyless entry so I know whether to buy one or not
Remote key operation is optional for some models. To be sure, I would ask a dealer service with the VIN number of car. Another option is to check the ECU of the car. If on the ECU label any frequency indicated (i.e. 433 Mhz) most likely the car has that option.

are those 3 key the same edge cutted? cause mine is different... the "main key" not open and ignite the car... but the "cutted" is working/proggraming fine
All new keys must be cut same as the old keys otherwise they will not work.

Hello, Fiesta in the video was manufactured in 2007. The two keys with keyring and keycode attached were original keys given with the car. The third key I bought from e-bay (second hand) with un cut head. It's been cut at the locksmith after I received it. I hope these answer helps you, take care.

I changed the battery in the remote (I only have one remote key and one standard key) but it still didn’t seem to work. Hi, I guess "Figo" is called "Fiesta" on our side of the pond...If you already have a key with remote fob and if you can open the the battery compartment all the info about the remote is engraved inside the fob including the frequency (i.e. mine is 433 Mhz). You can watch my video about ford fob battery replacementy to have an idea about how to open the key fob. If it doesn't work let me know I can tell another way but it is little bit more difficult. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to replace my current central locking code with a new code as I'm sure someone, (a crazy ex), is entering my car via the central locking route and fiddling with the controls.
I guess, by changing the locking codes you may be able to stop any previous keyfobs opening the doors remotely, but unless you change the lock barrels on the doors the previous keys will probably continiue to open the doors manually .

The procedure might be different for your model. If you have the user manual of the car usually there is a section about programming the new keys you can use that method.

The keyfob and the ECU frequency must match so that you can program and make it work.

So I have just bought a 2012 plate fiesta (UK), I have one remote key and i want a spare/second remote key. So if i buy the correct mHz blank key off ebay, I do what you have shown in the video and then will I have a second new key that is a copy of the first but works in exactly the same way?
Then if i lose the first key i can program a third key using the second key that I have just programmed?

I'm not exactly sure what type of key you are referring to by saying "master key" but I would say "Yes", as You'll need a working key to turn on the ignition and start the programming mode as shown in the video and after that all remote keys should be programmed consequtively in the same programming session otherwise remotes will not be recognized by the GEM module whether new or old. (If you wathc the video carefully I2ve started programming mode with the original key without remote capability and programmed one old one new key with remote capability afterwards. Good Luck...
I think what hes asking is what I'm about to ask.. Can I buy a replacement one and do this with only the key you use in the ignition (master key/spare key/non remote key)
I would say "Yes". There is an upper limit but no lower limit specified. If you have at least one working key (with or without remote) that turns ignition and starts the engine (that means recognized by passive anti theft system - PATS) you should be able to programme 1 to 3 extra keys. Before I bought my 3rd key (second hand from e-bay) I was able to programme the two keys that were given to me with the car by the dealer. The point you should keep in mind is; you need to programme all the keys you'll use at the same session otherwise the key that's left out will not work becose the key codes are changed on the GEM during the programming session. When I bought my third key I programmed it together with previously owned two original keys (as shown at the video) to make them all work with the car. I hope this clarifies the issue and wish you good luck.. :-)

I have never tried myself but I guess the memory limit is set for 4 transponder keys and will not except the code for the 5th one, If you're going to try I'll be happy to know the result :- )

I cannot be certain without seeing the car and the key but I can guess that it should work if the new key frequency and the GEM module frequency are the same.

Method works for Mk6 Fiesta but itf you want you can try it with the key you have. If it goes to programming mode (chime sound) it may work. It is better to be sure the car has remote key feature, it is an option for some models, for the new key with remote fob, I can guess that it should work if the new key frequency and the GEM module frequency of the car are the same.
Does this work if all I have is the transponder key?
This procedure is to program the new key to work with the the car. If you already have one key with remote fob and if it is already working there should be no need to re-program it, hope this helps.

I bought the 3rd key in the video from e-bay and after programming it worked very well. The important thing is the working frequency and part number must be exactly same with your original remote key. The frequency and part no is written inside the key. You must open the shell of the key to see it. You can watch my video about ford key battery changing to see how to open the shell of the key.

Questa si chiama codifica radiocomando x aprire chiudere le porte. Ma la chiave che codifichi così se non precodificata con Ids Ford non metterà mai in moto l auto non avendo il trasponder memorizzato nella path
