Would anyone actually be angry if the Trailblazer actually had a cannon ship? Genuine question btw, because I personally wouldn't mind and I think it would make the characters a lot more interesting if they had relationships other than frenemy, friend and family.
I'm angry, but not because of the idea of shipping. I just really don't like Firefly. It would have been a lot better if it was with a character TB ACTUALLY built a relationship with over time.
@@_Nyxus_ I think that's fair. The introduction of Firefly was fairly heavy-handed, we went on a date with her for an hour then the Trailblazer was suddenly ready to fight Aeons for Firefly. I kind of wish we met Firefly on Jarilo IV or the Luofu to really build a relationship with her.
@@antrepeyous Same. Like I love the concept of Sam and her but it's just so hard to like her because Hoyo kinda threw it in our faces too harshly. Really hope they don't do this again with other characters.

I like to think that the Trailblazer is canonically us, the player. Like a self-insert. So this indicates that the Trailblazer having a date with Firefly was created with the intention that the player is having a date with her. Otherwise I don't really know why they even went ahead and created a phone number that Firefly speaks to you if you call it.
I dont think its fully true after Penacony ending. They clearly given you the hint that Trailblazer is now more of his own person (character) then just fully players avatar.

Im usually not into main character shipping, not 100% sure why...could be because of how many characters there are and very little fuel for the ship, or because its iffy depending on which gender it is. Im fine with homosexual ships, but when its a self insert character and its the same gender as myself it gets iffy. And Firefly is same gender as me so... But I dont mind Firefly too much because I can still see her and Stelle as really good friends. Having good friends is important too.
I mean hoyoverse has been pushing either x shenhe pretty hard they even made Xianyun into a wing woman

No ship in genshin canon, almost every character is marketed to be a potential love interest for the traveler cuz the mc was supposed to be a self insert of ourselves n the characters r the product for us to fall in love w n buy, so almost every scene w the characters w the traveler has that hunt of potential romance like Xiao ayaka shenhe childe lyney furina, heck even gaming during lantern rite, it's just some has more obvious moments than others
