Welcome back to Part 4 of our grand cycling journey through Canberra and NSW! In this episode, we take on the legendary Stromlo Bike Park, one of the first of its kind in Australia. 🚵♂️
Our adventure begins on the blue flow trail, Trebuchet, where we navigate thrilling twists and turns. But that’s just the warm-up! We then venture into more challenging terrain with the World Cup trail, a double black trail that tests our skills to the limit. 🌲
Next, we tackle Vapour, Stromlo’s largest flow jump line. With massive jumps that seem to touch the sky, this trail offers an adrenaline rush like no other! 🚀
We wrap up our day on the hill fire trails, conveniently located next to the main carpark. These jumps, crafted with precision and care, provide the perfect end to an unforgettable day at Stromlo Bike Park. 🌄

Just a bit of history for the "World Cup" trail - in 2009 Stromlo hosted the UCI World MTB champs and that was part of the DH run. They also held the XC races there too.

Hillfire jumps are for smooth tires only. Can't you read the sign that says NO CHUNKY MTB TIRES ON THESE JUMPS. Yet again you ignore the signs and ride them anyway. What is it with you mtb people, can't you read???
Didn’t see any signs sorry dude, there was about 10 local kids/adults with normal mtbs riding them so maybe you need bigger signs 😅
Also there was a group riding the big jumps that didn’t say I couldn’t ride them, we wer having a good chat too.
I guess ill look harder next time, although policing this type of rule in a public park is pretty much impossible.
